In the end, what you pay for is what you get. The majority of the time this one does the trick because I wanted something cheap that would do the job. When you open the box, you'll notice that the construction of the product isn't great. Within two weeks, one of the holders completely broke down when it was simply pulled out to remove the airbrush. The following updates have been made Another holder has fallen apart exactly in the same way as the first one, and another is already fractured and will most certainly do the same very soon. I am not rough with my holders, and I do not use solvents (so it isn't like they are degrading). The fact that other people seem so happy with theirs makes me wonder if I just have.
It will be a waste of money and time to use this with a multi-hose set up, as you will drop your brushes. Additionally, if you are using siphon feed with bottles, I suggest you only use the top four slots and eliminate the bottom two, as they have caused many problems in the past. As long as you work slowly and are very careful about how you use the product, it should be an effective tool, but I have damaged a few airbrushes using it. Again, probably my fault for not being careful enough or organized. We are still searching for a better solution. In the near future, maybe we'll undertake a DIY project.
Airbrush regulator and trap are held in place by this bracket. It's very easy to use the clamp of this holder It is rock solid once the clamp is in place. Moreover, each of the individual cradles is snugly secured (by friction fit) to the plastic base and chrome-plated An arm made of steel plated with silver. In contrast to other airbrush stands I've used, I have never accidentally knocked off one of the cradles when I was getting an airbrush out of this stand. The cradles don't operate in other modes than gravity are only capable of working with gravity You can feed yourself or bottom-feed Airbrushes need to be fed. There is one airbrush in my collection that is a Badger 100IL side-feed and it doesn't fit in my cradle. The bracket for the regulator is large enough to hold a standard regulator and water-supply There are many different brand names for the same type of trap You can order the nut for this holder here on Amazon if your regulator is missing the panel mounting nut, which is required to mount it to this holder's bracket Interstate Pneumatics WP1130PN Panel Mount Nut for Regulator W1130.
Despite doing what it does, the metal clamp part of it is not even attached to the plastic bit that holds the airbrushes to Originally I had used a regular plastic fold out table, but this was not well suited to it, and I had to use cardboard sheets to hold it in place. For the purpose of this review it's okay, however I could not return it for a refund since I was not able to find a suitable replacement in time. For those looking for a decent one, I found one on spraygunners's website that will do the job, but cost a little more than you would expect.
Though there is a good concept, it is not executed correctly. In my experience, I experienced two holder pieces breaking, both while I was at work and not actively picking up and placing the airbrush back on the shelf. One of the pillars was cracked before it fully gave way and I had to rely primarily on jb weld putty to fill in the crack. I am currently looking for another solution to my problem.
Besides the fact that it's a very basic device, which holds a few brushes, there is little else to go wrong. Here is what you're looking for if you're concerned about function over form.
I then searched images of this and learned it was for mounting a regulator. I find this table clamp to be sturdy and well constructed. It would be helpful to have a single copy of the instructions. If you included a few different styles of plastic holders that could be swapped out for the stock ones at a cost, how much would that be?.
It seems to work fine. My Paasche cap is a little tight on some AB's and (no surprise) there is a seal around the flap. Still, it works well as a whole.
