Questions & Answers

Is it true that the iwata cn neo comes with only 0. 35mm needle and nozzle, for a total of 0. Is it true that each nozzle and needle must be purchased separately?

You CAN replace the BCN 0 with the BCN 0. It'll work with a nozzle of 5mm. Don't forget to get the 0 as well. 5mm fluid needle is also available. Cheers!

I've only recently begun using airbrushes and am unsure which one would be the best to purchase. I bought two master airbrushes, and they were a complete waste of money?

This particular NEO airbrush was recommended as a good beginner airbrush at a seminar where I attended. The NEO has proven to be effective in my case, so the advice was sound. The seminar also taught me how to use, clean, and maintain an airbrush.

Is it possible to paint a model car with enamel paint?

Yes, an airbrush can be used to spray anything you want. Testors and Model Master enamels, as well as lacquers and acrylics, are frequently used in my work. br>br>To reduce them all, I use any lacquer thinner from a hardware store. I use it in a ratio of about 1: 1 made with Tamiya acrylics and enamels. Yes, lacquer thinner and enamels, as well as Tamiya acrylics (not true water-based) will mix. lacquer thinner (acrylic based) I shoot a lot of'ready-to-use' lacquers. I usually use'spray', but I do add a little thinner now and then. br>br>And, while it isn't your question, you can spray automotive paints through it, but you'll have to reduce the pressure accordingly.

With this, what type of hose connection should I get? Is it possible to be 1/8 female?

I purchased a Master Airbrush Brand, 6' Braided Airbrush Hose 1/8"-1/2" on Amazon for my NEO airbrush. For the Iwata Air Brush, 1/4" is required. I was able to connect the NEO airbrush to an airbrush hose that can be connected to a standard compressor line, and I purchased a brass airbrush adaptor for my Badger airbrush from Harbor Freight. The adaptor allowed me to connect a Badger airbrush line to a standard compressor line; note that in both cases, the water trap was placed between the compressor hose and the airbrush hose.

About the same quality as a low-cost Chinese airbrush
3/5

Make sure you don't throw your money away. This airbrush has been in my possession for 6 months and has been used for scale modeling. The majority of the Gundam kits are extremely large. I painted for up to 9 hours at a time with it. It can't compete with a $20 Chinese airbrush in terms of performance. During long painting sessions, the tip appears to build up paint and splatter, similar to Chinese brushes, and you must constantly unscrew the tip to wipe it clean. Then, as you unscrew more and more, the paint begins to leak. It is necessary to thin Vallejo primers and air. Anything Tamiya should be thinned out. Instead, I decided to purchase an Iwata Eclipse, which is far superior. There is no paint buildup, the tip design is excellent, and you only need to thin air-specific paint once in a while. It is well worth the extra money due to the reduced frustration.

For the money, this is a fantastic airbrush! I have over 25 years of experience as an airbrush artist
5/5

I've used every airbrush on the market, from cheap eBay knockoffs to high-end Iwata Microns, and I know what a good airbrush is when I see one- Right now, this airbrush has to be the best bang for your buck in the airbrush industry- It's simply fantastic and flawless- There are no issues. br>Functional at low PSI with a very smooth trigger. When you have this Iwata NEO, there's no reason to buy the cheap eBay airbrushes. br>br>I would advise Iwata to do two things to slightly improve it- To aid trigger grip, use a ridged trigger rather than a recessed design, and if desired, open the internal air flow passages to allow for higher PSI. Aside from those two minor flaws, this is a fantastic deal. If you're thinking about getting one of these, here's what you should know. Proceed with confidence in the knowledge that you're getting a great deal! stevenunez, br>br>stevenunez, br>br>stevenunez, br>b com.

Don't fall for the low-cost Made in China imitations
5/5

This is one you should buy. To all those who are new to airbrushing: I started airbrushing gunpla without first doing my homework, and I ended up buying a crappy airbrush kit that came with a small compressor. It didn't get off to a good start. The paint didn't spray smoothly, and it almost always resulted in smudgy painting. br>br>So I googled to see if this was a common problem with airbrushes, and I came across a website that wrote a really cool review about an airbrush. After visiting about ten websites, it is clear that the NEO CN is the high-quality airbrush that any beginner should use or own. br>br>Never buy all those China made airbrushes like KKmax, Royalmax, Master, etc. Yes, they copy it to look as good as the high end Iwata, badger, etc airbrushes, but once you start spraying the paint, it will destroy what you have. The differences in terms of painting quality are so significant that it irritates me and makes me feel disgusted with a China product!.

The most exquisite lines
5/5

This airbrush is fantastic. It is extremely simple to operate. It creates the most beautiful lines. Additionally, it is simple to clean. My Paash talon protrudes from my head. This is the brush to use if you want to get down to the last detail. It's just right. In addition, the cost is excellent. For the time being, I'm only going to buy Iwata.

Thank you, Amazon! Wow, this is incredible! I'm a 50-year-old artist who owns a number of airbrushes, including a Pasche Badger and a Master Airbrush
5/5

I just finished laying down paint with this brush for the second time. Using my vallejo mettalic acrylic, which had been thinned a little and a drop of flow improver, I adjusted the air pressure from 18psi to 15psi according to my regulator. Wow, even without a stop needle limiter, thanks to the smooth and precise trigger, this brush finely atomized the paint for me, going from a large paint pattern to a fine line. I'd never be able to achieve these results with a point zero or master airbrush. Even though this unit is made in China, it has the same prescission as the point zeros and master airbrushes. To keep it running smoothly, I would recommend not painting for long periods of time without cleaning it regularly. Only remove the nozzle if absolutely necessary, according to Iwata. I've read some reviews where people have had issues, but this shouldn't be an issue. A 5-year warranty is included with this brush. You should have no problems if you get into the habit of thoroughly cleaning it every time you clean it.

For Scale Models, this is a fantastic airbrush
5/5

To be honest, I didn't think this airbrush would be any better than the $22 one I bought from a discount tool store. I wanted a gravity feed airbrush because all of the airbrushes I'd used before were siphon types. This Neo is so much better than my $22 airbrush that I won't be using it again. I just used Mig Acrylic on some 1/32 scale bf 109 g tires and then Testor's Model Master Acrylics on the landing gear and wheel hubs, and this airbrush is so controllable that I was able to paint the hubs without overspray on the tires. Spend a little more and get one of these instead of the "Made in China" specials; you will not be disappointed!.

The title should include the word "professional
5/5

" I've been painting miniatures and models for a long time, mostly with brushes except for priming, and I recently purchased a cheap Masters brush and compressor to begin airbrushing. I bought one of these because I was feeling cozy, and all I have to say is WOW! I knew the second I pulled the trigger that I was not one of the cheapos. I stole the trigger--it was totally worth it. Stop with the cheapo, and it fits and works perfectly, resulting in an immediate upgrade.

It's ideal for both newcomers and seasoned veterans
5/5

I have a variety of airbrushes, both high-end and low-end, and each has its own quirks and issues, so I was looking for a reasonably-priced alternative. This is my first Iwata airbrush, and it's a reasonably priced airbrush for medium to fine work on 1/48 scale plastic. Consider me as awestruck. It feeds well and does not clog as long as you thin properly and use the proper air pressure for your media (I mostly use acrylics thinned to a skim milk consistency, at 12-psi). 20 psi), and it's a breeze to handle and maneuver. The double-decker bus The action trigger is also a lot of fun, as it's very precise and simple to use. A small and large bowl are included as an added bonus with the set. Cleanup is simple with the appropriate thinner for your media, and as with all airbrushing, don't let the paint dry in the bowl (you will, at some point, as have we all). This hassle-free game will appeal to players of all skill levels. Brush is available for free or at a reasonable cost.
