This is not a beginner's game. I had no idea how to use an airbrush, so when this kit was advertised as a great starter kit, I was all in, but it isn't. 1. br>br> My kit was missing an entire airbrush. Fortunately, it wasn't one I wanted to use, but it was a product I owed. I reached out to Amazon but received no response. 2. br>br>1. br>br>br>br>br>br There aren't many rules. I'm still unsure how to operate this device. It came with a booklet with information about what was inside as well as cleaning tips, but no actual instructions. I had no idea how to put any of the brushes together or how to disassemble anything to clean it. Just getting the brushes to spray took a couple of houses for me! 3. br>br>4. br>br>5. br>br>6. Brushes get clogged all of the time. I was using ProAir hybrid alcohol paints at the time, and I could get about four sprays in before it clogged. I was constantly shaking the paints and dipping the tip of the brush in alcohol to break up the clog. It had been a long and arduous process. Even when there was no clog, it would occasionally not spray the cleaner. It was extremely inconvenient. 4. br>br> The bottom feeder bottle would keep falling off the airbrush as it was being used. Is it possible that I misplaced it? Because there aren't any instructions, I won't know! I looked up images on Google and it appeared that I was on the right track. For this, that was all I had to go on. br>br>I wouldn't recommend this kit to a beginner. It's too aggravating to be left in the dark.
I couldn't wait to put this to the test! The first order had to be returned because some of the items in the pack were missing. It took a week for me to receive a refund so that I could place another order. And, once again, items were missing (cleaning brushes, for example). It was too inconvenient to send it back, so I kept it and bought brushes on the side). Anyway, I used G22 and G25 brushes twice, and the second time, G22 broke. Paint was not coming out, so I decided to unscrew the nose cover to expose the nozzle chuck, as instructed in the manual. I began gently unscrewing it with the provided mini wrench. and the metal was about to snap. The socket for the screw had broken. As a result, the airbrush is no longer in use. I was a bit let down. For that price, I wasn't expecting high quality, but at the very least a decent build. I'll keep the pack for the compressor, but I won't be able to paint until I have enough money to purchase a new brush.
I spent the entire weekend tinkering with it, and it's such a fantastic product; I made all the common mistakes and learned a lot as a result. It gets a lot easier to use after you've spent some time with it. The paint cup top was one of the mistakes I made; keep it off while airbrushing because it restricts airflow. I suppose it's just there when it's not in use so the paint doesn't fall out if there's an accident. With the knob, you can adjust the PSI level. Make sure to dilute the paint with a thinner or even water. After each use, make sure to clean it thoroughly. I would highly recommend this product, and I am looking forward to using it extensively.
You get what you pay for with this product. I didn't use it very much before it broke down. As a result, I upgraded to a more expensive model and have had no issues with it. br>Because I do taxidermy, I figured it would be useful.
Overall, I'd recommend it to anyone who isn't sure what they want to do with airbrushing or where to begin, as well as anyone who is curious enough to learn everything on their own. br>br>The compressor that comes with the kit is adequate. It can run nonstop for about 10 minutes before it starts to sound different, but I pushed it for another hour of near-constant use and it was fine; however, this is probably not something you should do every day. In terms of color mixing and sprayability, the provided paint gets a 4/10 from Angelus. Depending on what you want to do, from tiny miniatures to full-scale car artwork, the airbrushes provide a wide range of accuracy. The threads for the br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br> During the second day, a 3 mm nozzle inside the G22 gun broke off. To avoid snapping the brass threads, only use the provided wrench to loosen the nozzle and then hand tighten it.
What an incredible set of tools. After using iwata and badger air brushes for over three years, I can say that the air brushes that came with this kit are almost as good as more expensive air brushes from other brands. The compressor isn't 100% quite loud at all and can be used in the house without alerting sleeping people. It's simple to assemble and set up. The cleaning brushes were not included in the kit, but that was not a problem. Simply ensure that the air brushes are thoroughly cleaned after each use, and that the paint is stored in a well-ventilated area; otherwise, the paint will dry out and clog the bottle. in the end This kit has made me very happy.
I bought it because I've always wanted an airbrush for painting my RC bodies but didn't want to spend a lot of money on something I'd only use once in a while. This kit is a great value for everything you need to get started airbrushing; the compressor is quiet and works well (though I wish I had spent the extra $20 and gotten the one with a tank to be able to maintain a more constant higher pressure); it will maintain up to 23 max psi continuously, but you can set the shutoff point higher than 30 and have higher pressure bursts. br>The guns are definitely less expensive, but they work 1000 times better than the spray cans I've always had to use to paint the lexan bodies. I was able to get a nice even finish the first time I tried it, and I may be able to recoup the cost of this by saving money on non-aerosol paints.
With this setup, I was able to immediately begin airbrushing 3D prints. When purchasing this, make sure to purchase a cleaning setup as well, as you will require it. This kit came with excellent documentation and presentation, and everything appears to be in good working order so far. I wish there were more detailed instructions on how to adjust each airbrush because I quickly became disoriented with the brushes while attempting to figure it out. The beginner's guide could be a little more detailed, but I figured out how to get paint to spray out in the end haha.
