My goal with this easel is to paint Bob Ross pictures and I have been satisfied canvas that was 12x12 and it was a little too big for it but I still managed to use it with a clip (as shown Considering how sturdy the easel is, I think it would have been okay even without the clip. My other big canvases (18x24) fit perfectly in this easel. Overall, I'm happy with it, and I bought a second one to work with my significant other.

The quality of the product is determined by the price. They are inexpensive. If you're buying a canvas, make sure the size will fit your frame. These are the only sizes that adjust. They do not adjust to smaller sizes. There is no reason why I thought it would work, but I have completed the painting I purchased it for, and now my smaller canvases do not fit it. In addition, the back height is not adjustable either, so if you want the chair to stand taller, you will need to adjust it manually.
