Now that I know this is a hobby I will carry on, I have to see if I can get the supplies I need. In comparison with all the other easels I found that had the shelf and functionality, Bob's setup was much more attractive and cost less. I didn't need a wooden french easel or anything like that, and I really liked its functionality. As a result of reviews, I was afraid mine could arrive damaged. However, mine was double boxed and everything was in good shape. There was no damage to this piece and it was very simple to assemble. A number of years are ahead of us where I can see this being used.
Reviewing is something I don't usually do, but for this I thought it appropriate. Some of the sliding parts were bent also. The welds are weak and won't last. The frames came bent and out of square by a lot, and the welds on the frame are weak. It rattles a lot and is very wobbly. For the price, I would say that it is a very poor quality product. It is possible that Bob approved the design long ago, but he would be beating the devil out of the person who built it. I had to do it (it was terrible, but it was necessary).

We found that one of the spring pins used to adjust the height of the easel was broken when we unpacked it. (Bent pins and scratch marks on the legs of the easel indicate that the item has previously been damaged or encountered the same issue). Adjusting the height of the legs is done with spring pins that pop through holes in the legs. A number of pins were bent or broken and would not pop all the way through the holes on two of the legs. I had already ordered this easel before Christmas and was told it was lost, so I reordered, but this one was broken. I was extremely disappointed. There is no point in bothering me about it anymore.
