Questions & Answers

The Teacher Pro is different from the School Pro in what way? seem to be similar in most respects. One does not seem superior to the other to me. ?

Having both the Teacher Pro and the School Pro, they both work great except the Teacher Pro takes longer to sharpen the It may not be an issue for small usage or at home. There is nothing more frustrating than having 26 students disrupt each other. The pencil won't go far enough if it isn't pushed in far enough 7 yr olds are prone to this behavior - As time goes on, it gets Using them to sharpen pencils with wrappers on them will cause them both to clog. It does seem to get cleaned out with some manual rotating, though. It has been over ten years since I started using School Pro (at home). It might be a good idea to replace them.

Since plastic gears wear out so easily, my daughter's pencil sharpeners have been discarded several times. How do the gears look? Are they metal or plastic?

Metal is used for the gears. There are two Z-shaped things in my house There are several pencil sharpeners by ACT, such as the Teacher Pro Electric pencil sharpener. In addition to 26 There were 27 students in their last two classes A new set of metal gears needs to be installed 3 years after the existing ones.

The pencil sharpener you are selling can be used for colored pencils, right?

If you plan to use it on color pencils, make sure not to. You should avoid using pencils that have plastic wrapping around them, especially ones with glittery covers. An extra layer on the outside of the sharpener damages it. If you use a color pencil, your warranty might not cover the damage.

It was just received, and on one circle, the rubber footing is missing. There's a real issue here & it's out of the box. Would you please tell me how I can fix this?

You should return to Amazon and not deal with vendors with poor customer service.

As of now, it is quite disappointing because everything has been going well
4/5

After reading the many reviews I paid close attention to the negative ones, curious as to why they had rated so poorly and a few warned of this very issue Sadly, I observed that it only sharpened a new (flathead) pencil after just a few months of classroom use. Thus the light comes on before the pencil has actually been sharpened, indicating that it is ready. The end result is quite disappointing given that it has been wonderful to I'm hoping after I investigate the issue and talk to the company there is something they, or I, can do to rectify this problem. Until then, stay away! Until then I will investigate a replacement and update this post. I'm all right After I cleaned the swirled blades thoroughly, the machine works as it should now - for those who have run into problems, try cleaning the blades first!.

The winner of the contest is ACT Teacher Pro! The person I am is a teacher
5/5

The requirement is that I must have sharpened pencils available to any student at any time (Students trade an un-sharpened pencil for a sharpened one) a sharpened pencil in place of a dull That means I will do a lot of sharpening, just as my colleagues will as well. (Also to share with other teachers in school). I therefore bought three electric sharpeners to compare. The X-ray machine I purchased is a Take advantage of the Act Teacher Pro Electric for not more than $ 29. I recently purchased a Tatji Classroom Heavy Duty for $35, with a price of $99/$99. I purchased the Avalon Titanium Blade 42" Fully Automatic Heavy Duty for $49 and it is priced at $99, respectively. I found that all three work nicely and quickly lead to sharp points when I used only wooden #2 pencils. It is possible, however, to take advantage of this X-factor in 5 different ways One of the reasons why I like Act Sharpener so much That's a really good idea It's quiet here! A sharpener can sharpen various thicknesses of pencils, has a large cutting area, and can sharpen logs of wood or paper A shavings compartment holding a lot of shavings, it comes with a light that shows if the pencil is sharp, then it stops sharpening (so you don't over sharpen and waste pencil) (cool!) The best thing about it is that it is the lowest price It is the Avalon, in my opinion, that is the second best sharpening machine. You'll hear it loud and clear! I like the way it sharpens the pencil, pops it back up, and takes the pencil down. But it costs more and is louder. As a whole, the Tatji works well although it is not as impressive as the other two Just at home, it seems to be better. I am still unable to judge which of the two will last the longest. I guess I will It is my hope that this was helpful for you.

As sharp as a needle Keep your fingers out of your ears- The point is
5/5

A pencil isn't a pencil. There are yellow #2s, Crayola colored pencils, expensive art and scrapbook pencils, and tree logs with chunks of charcoal pressed into them. THE SHARPENER IS ABLE TO HARDEN ALL OF THEM. As part of the A diameter selector ensures that the pencil will be straight and true The cuts are solid. I would like you to consider my humble input A needle sharpens as it travels through the body Keep your fingers out of your ears- The point is. There would be no reason not to have one for John Wick. Auto-repair system provides automatic maintenance of Turning off so this new #2 won't be gnawed to a nub by "kids" ensures it isn't abused. For no reason at all. There is a lot of power in this grinder/sharpener, as evidenced by the sound of the motor. There is no way it will stop This item has a fairly long shelf life I have a securely fastened chord. Measured it but didn't record the results. Having used a pack of #2 pencils and two boxes of Crayola pencils, I have not experienced any broken leads so far. I inserted a couple of round fat carpenter's pencils because I was out of pencils The flat ones work fine but I have not tried them Another thing to take a look at.
Contains a large bucket of shavings . This sharpener really feels nice without cutting through the wires of my wife's overpriced art pencils. It was begged to be used by her grandmother. You won't be able to use mechanical pencils. It's probably not a good idea to use crayons. The same applies to felt tip markers, such as Sharpies. It neither engages in tactical self-defense There are pens for defense. Please do not erase the end of the eraser. Buying it now is a must for the classroom, the home, and the office! Sorry I didn't buy it sooner! The costs will be recovered in unbroken pencil leads over a very long period of time (just kidding). Makes a wonderful gift that will last a lifetime. The pun is in the title. I recommend that you buy.

Worked very well for me
5/5

The exception is one. It's no problem for me to put a sharpener to the test. I find that this one works most of the time. In some cases, colored pencils tend to break off in the machine when the lead is slightly out of center, so you have to pull them out and attempt to unstick them. It's the variable holes that I love, but the colored pencil thing is a deal breaker for me. There are still no better options available to me. A small tool to remove the lead from the machine would be needed, and then it would be almost perfect. When I tried to put a razor blade into the slot, it was too small. There are just many pencils in my collection. You can use any drawing or drafting pencil. There is no problem, only Prisma Colors and other wax like leads pose a problem.

Although great at the start, it was not great by the end of the first quarter (9)
3/5

I got this over the summer & received it when I got back from the States There is no longer any way to use it. My class bought it and I used it in the classroom It wasn't until mid-2010 that I started using it I do not sharpen a lot of pencils in the classroom because I know the sharpeners don't last for very Sharpeners are used in the work room most of the time. There has never been an extended period of time between uses of this sharpener The process usually requires 10 pencils at a time, and is rarely used for newly sharpened The first few weeks had been great, but by the end of the first quarter (9 weeks later) it wasn't working properly. There were a few pencils that would freeze up after several touches that were only needed because the tips were dull. My pencils are now so dull that I cannot even sharpen them anymore. A new chapter begins & Then it freezes up, and then after a second or two I can plug it in again. Make sure you get a few more benefits from I find that sharpening a pencil takes a little more time than going to the cupboard and getting a pencil Replacing your old one is the best move. As a coworker His sharpener was the same and he used it the same way I experienced the same thing. As a result, they thought hers had broken since her kids used it all the time and she allowed it to break down A class set of new pencils needed to be sharpened. It would have been better if I had known better before purchasing.
