There is a quality problem with the metallic pens created by Cricut. The ink faded after several hours of writing on black cardstock, and I was disappointed to find that it had happened. As the work progressed, the ink vibrancy faded regardless of how they were stored. Likewise, the tips of the letter began to look dull, and the quality of the letter was fuzzy and lacking in crispness. It is a medium-sized company I have found that the black pens I have (also Cricut brand) kept their tips as well as their ink over multiple uses and multiple.
It's hard not to be impressed by these metallic pens. There is no roughness in the writing and they As depicted on Amazon, the packages for these are lighter than what they are in reality. The flowers are darker than what you see in the image, but they are still very pretty. This is the first color I have purchased, and I plan on purchasing other colors soon to go with it! The image of them is blurry and I apologize for that. You can see a bit of the Metallic shimmer and how thin they are.
I did not like these at all. It would have been easier for them to print more envelopes if they had given me more time, but the ones I didn't use immediately dried out despite not even taking the caps The brand isn't worth the money when there are many other brands that you can use instead.
It was very disappointing with this product, as the machine absolutely smashed the tip of the marker after only a few uses with the recommended machine settings. As you see in the photo, the tip of the pen was no longer able to write names on place cards when within a few names it had been smashed. A smashed tip is probably two millimeters in diameter if its original tip is one millimeter in diameter The notebook is at least three times thicker than the markers, making it impossible to write legibly on such a small area as a placecard. I had to return it as it was not usable for what I wanted. There is no option in the software to tell the machine not to use as much pressure when cutting, but I am disappointed that Cricut makes a product that cannot stand up to the wear and tear caused by its own machine.
The pen looked great, so I decided to cut another one. The pen had totally dried out by the time I cut the second one. Unlike a lost marker whose top had been taken off for a year, this pen wrote like it had just run out of ink. We thought it might have been that one color, but it turns out it was a whole set of There is a huge disappointment in the fact that you can only draw two words from it before it dries out, especially considering the price, which is incredibly high.
I received the first set of these pens with dried out gold. As soon as I made contact with amazon, a replacement was sent. There are differences in the color of the first set of the replacement set and the first set As compared to the replacement set, the first set has much darker colors and more metallic accents as well as fibers that keep coming out of the pen tip when it is writing. That said, I prefer the replacement set's colors and quality over the first set. I am really surprised that there is such an extreme difference since this is the VERY SAME product, makes me wonder which color/quality I will receive if I decide to purchase again. Due to the inconsistency, I do not want to order in the future, but I might be forced to do so since there are few alternative pen adapters that can be used for Explore One.
This is simply a fact and can be planned for in projects if it is taken into account.
I love how these work in my Cricut Expore (which they do, since they are Cricut products). The tip of these was supposed to be a finer point, but it is more of a medium point. The main advantage of these tools is that they are best for larger projects or writing than for details work, but they do work well. Metallic colors look really good on dark papers, especially when they are metallic. In addition, I've used them several times with no sign of running out of ink, so it seems they've got quite a bit of ink left.
