It doesn't have any oil in it.
In fact, pastels can be easily removed with a vinyl eraser.
I think buying pastel crayons would be much easier and less messy, as well as more cost effective; Crayola makes what you appear to want for a reasonable price, and they are lovely, or you could get Gelatos for more color options.
Yes, without a doubt. They are much more pigmented than regular chalk, so if left on for too long, they may stain or require wet cleaning. They're also softer than regular chalk and break easily, so you might be disappointed if you plan to use them on a regular basis.

This is a nice set of chalk pastels with a lot of different colors. They are not, however, packaged in a way that keeps them from falling out of the box. Mine arrived in a jumbled state, with some pieces broken and chalk dust all over the place. The pastels were covered in dust from the other colors even after I reinstalled them. Although they are still usable, receiving them in such poor condition was disappointing.
The pastels are fine, if a little chalky for drawing, but I use them for blushing dolls, for which they are ideal. br>br>They arrived in pretty bad shape, owing to the fact that they were packaged diagonally, making them more likely to roll around. br>br>The first image shows them as they arrived, while the second shows them after I rearranged them for about 2 minutes. br>br>How they arrived isn't a big deal to me, but they had a lot of pigment on them and might look a little muddy now if they were used for drawing. br>br>Overall, they're fine for what I'm doing with them, but someone who wants to draw with them might have problems with the packaging.
I own a studio and teach art to children; I require low-cost, high-quality materials while also providing all materials to my students. This set went above and beyond my expectations.
Pastels have a lot of color and saturation. I'm guessing these are half-sticks or quarter-sticks? Approx 1. 5" long. The tray/box did not do a great job of keeping them in place during shipping, and one or two were broken, but they were still perfectly usable. For my needs, it's a good deal- art on the street!.
Small and slender. (An inch or less for some) and arrived disheveled and broken. It was impossible to use the broken piece because it was too small. br>br>Can be used as a blush pigment. Not nearly as colorful as a crayon type use.
These were delivered in a jumbled mess in the box. I was taken aback by their diminutive size. They appeared to work well for the one project I used them for. My main gripe is with the manner in which they arrived. It would take a long time to categorize them by color. However, they aren't as useful without it.
When this arrived, I was so excited that I was a little hesitant to open it after reading other customer reviews, but it was perfect, with everything in its place and secure. This is my first time using chalk, so I'm not sure if there's a better option, but these seem to do the job, and I'm on my way to making some lovely artwork. The money was well spent.
I haven't had the opportunity to put them to use yet. I expected to get a box full of mixed and broken pastels because everyone was complaining about the packaging. As a result, I felt compelled to share that I had no such issues in my own life. I gave them four stars because I have yet to use them and thus cannot comment on their quality. Though I am confident in the fact that the other reviews stated that they were pleased with the product's quality.
