BASIC INFUSIBLE INK MARKER FOR PAPER CRAFTS

Questions & Answers

What is the typical duration of these projects?

Six adult-sized t-shirts were created. I've made a few t-shirts and still think there's more I could do.

Do the markers have a true red and blue color scheme?

I haven't tried the red or blue ones yet, but they appear to be true to color from the ones in my Cricut box of 30 infusible ink pens.

What kind of material do you use to draw with the pens?

There are some materials that are not suitable for use with regular markers. I attended a Joann's class and bought a T-shirt. The infusible ink pens will be carried in a shirt and a tote bag. The materials do NOT 100% consist of 100% cotton.
They are 100% Polyester for the tote, and 95% Polyester and 5% Spandex for the short short short short short short short short short short short short s

Is it possible to print the Infusible ink ahead of time and then wait to press it? Is the ink going to fade, or is it going to be permanent?

I didn't cut it right away, so the color stayed the same.

This is a Review that is a Little Too Dramatic
3/5

In the end, the costs involved were not worth it. Meh. I'm not going to be assimilated, so I'm leaving the collective; these markers were fine and worked as expected. What I'm disappointed in is their relatively high price and the fact that Cricut appears to have manufactured their heat transfer ink product in such a way that you can only use it with their blank bags, shirts, and so on. I just assumed it was marketing BS (like telling you to use this year's Cricut hot press, which is clearly the same one that is also sold by other vendors on Amazon-- Come on, guys, anything that reaches the right temperature and maintains it will work). Before using the infusible inks and other (presumably semi-permanent) materials, I watched a few videos on YouTube. In their videos, independent) crafters stated that these could not be used on non-commercial projects. Cricut materials may not take ink as well as others, or the ink may not be properly fixed and wash out quickly. If that's the case, it's a bummer because other heat transfer inks don't have the same limitations. It's even worse if it was done this way on purpose. I don't want Cricut trying to sell me something new or upsell me online or in the design space all of the time. I've already paid a premium price for the Maker and accessories, as well as a design space subscription. Instead of trying to herd your customers into a Cricut-like situation, consider nurturing a longer-term relationship with them. The world of crafting is branded. You make some fantastic products, but some of them are prohibitively expensive and others are inferior to some of the alternatives available. Don't try to fool us by limiting our choices to Cricut-branded materials and tools. You'll create a larger, more vibrant community as a result, one that won't become bitter over time because of how one-sided one-sided one-sided one-sided one-sided one-sided one-sided one-sided one-sided one-sided one-sided This is a one-sided relationship. Oh, and by the way, I'm giving up on ordering materials directly from your site because Amazon delivers them to me on time and for free thanks to my Prime membership. When shipping is taken into account, the price is usually the same or slightly lower. What are you doing to make it so difficult for me to love you for the rest of my life?.

These are fantastic
5/5

Infusible ink markers are my absolute favorite. All you need is a piece of regular copy paper, and once ironed on, the colors are brilliant.

It turned out really well

These markers were fantastic. I made a pillow out of them, and it turned out quite nicely. I'm looking forward to creating more items.

Bad
3/5

This isn't going to work at all. I spent over $200 on infusible ink, and it fades and is washed out after just ONE wash. Using the proper material and a cricut iron, I was able to accomplish this. To put it mildly, this is tragic.

Greedy Company Marketing Scheme Limits Creativity
3/5

Disappointed to the point of frustration. Will not work on any blanks other than those made by Cricut. A product that is overpriced and has far too many limitations. Cricut's opportunistic marketing strategy with this has left me disappointed. They've already spent enough of our money on the machine, accessories, and supplies, etc. , it's ridiculous.

I'm head over heels in love
5/5

To begin, go to YouTube and watch all of the pen and marker tutorials that have been posted. This is extremely useful information. A pen holder is included in my Brothers Design n Cut. The markers were all the same size. I bought 2 white Hanes 100% polyester shirts for my daughter who is a big BTS fan so I used this character. I used Sublimation paper to make my picture and color it in (red pen seemed dry, so I had to work at it) I followed the instructions to the letter. Take a look at the outcome. Markers should be larger and have a fatter tip. Apart from that, these are excellent.

It's fantastic! When I first learned about infusible ink, I was ecstatic! When you only need to do a couple of fabric projects, it's much less expensive to buy a large quantity of vinyl
5/5

To use this, you'll need to purchase Cricut-branded shirts, bags, or onesies, but the cost isn't unreasonable given the cool things you can do with these inks.
