Colors on these gel crayons are rich and vibrant. You will be disappointed if you think you are getting a less expensive Gelato. In theory, these are Gelatos and will perform the same functions as Gelatos, but the end result will be far less satisfying. These treats were bought for my granddaughter in hopes they would serve as a substitute for gelatos, and they are from Faber-Castell, so that's a good thing It would have been nice to see more from Castell. You get what you pay for. This sounds very critical so I have to say It is functional, the colors are appealing, and there is a good number of units produced. The Gelatos that I have will be shared with the girls when they are Bible Journaling because the other crayons may damage the Bible pages since they are not as gentle. It has always seemed to me that purchasing a product for children or children that I would not use sets the child up for disappointment, which I don't like.
According to the packaging, this is designed for "little artists. " However, I wouldn't recommend these for serious artists of any size, nor for children. (And definitely not as highlighters. While I was using these crayons, some of them shed little pieces of themselves. If I make a mess, I can clean it up because I'm an adult. It may not be long before smears and flake of colored crayon cover a child's face. There are no crumbles on the paper when the crayon remains intact, which is a shame, since it would have been really nice if the crayon stayed intact. There is also a problem with the color selection. Each of the crayons contains five colored crayons in regular hues, followed by five more crayons in neon hues, and then There is no white crayon (perhaps an unnecessary one), nor is there any purple or
And as well. Although the plastic case (which I generally find excellent) was a bit oily when I unwrapped it, I found it completely appealing. Sadly, I cannot tell if the oil came from inside the plastic wrapper or outside of the plastic wrapper (possibly from a totally different source altogether). The gel ingredients could seperate too, in which case I would worry about that as well.
These do crumble a bit when you use them, as other reviews have noted. I do not have an issue using them for the purpose I use them for (Premo Clay). Rather than leaving a metallic gleam, they leave a pearlescent finish. The creaminess makes them easy to smear or blend. Neither is a gel nor a wax, but neither is a gel either. Lipsticks are the closest comparison that I can think of. They can be quite messy if you are not careful, so I wouldn't recommend them for children under 14 years old. The two I ordered ended up being kept, even though I accidentally ordered two.
The reputation of the brand led me to choose these gel crayons over others since I am an art teacher. This set of gel crayons has a major problem despite its good quality--there is too much pigment! It is impossible to find any purple! People, you kind of need purple! Despite my best efforts, I was unable to create a nice purple by mixing blue and red. In the pack, you include silver and neon yellow. These are not required for me. There is no doubt in my mind that I These are nice, but I would like to see an even bigger set with all the primary, secondary, and intermediate colors. It would be better for me to wear pastels rather than neons.

I imagine that the gel crayons will be perfect for a boy that doesn't like to color or write these would be the perfect gift for him. They stick to paper with such ease that it is a pleasure to hold them in your hand. It is a pleasure to feel the luscious texture on the paper. Once a child uses these crayons, he or she would instantly fall in love with coloring in writing. It would be great if Faber Castell made these crayons in a thinner version in the future. If you order these crayons, you will not be disappointed. The colors they come in are really wonderful.
This product is one of the recommended art supplies for toddlers or preschoolers on the Artful Parent blog. Two points I would like to make. Using these with water is a big hit with 5 years old I use watercolors to get a watercolor effect when I do art, but also to try out different colors of water and watch them release as they dissolve. After drying, they have a really nice color and seem to go on.
Not really my cup of tea for Windows. The only reason they do not get 5 stars is because they do not work on mirrors or windows. My main reason for buying them was for this feature. On paper, the design is beautiful. Bright and vivid colors make the design stand out. The glide is very smooth and less pressure is needed. Kids just starting out in coloring will love this book.
