Questions & Answers
You can remove these chalk pencils when you are done with them. To get rid of the pencil marks, I just rubbed my hands (gently) on them. The only way to remove all traces is to wash them out.
It is not clear if these would work on a chalkboard. I am using them for extra highlights for my pastel pencil drawings. The paper I use is pastel.
The chalkboard is not something I have tried, and I will not. The pencils are pastels, which are different from chalk, pure paint pigment, and As for the pastel, I believe it would not wash off of the board and would cause damage.
My knowledge of the matter is limited. It is just for marking fabric that I use these wonderful pencils. Cleanly erasing fabric is sure to be an advantage.

Shut up and take it. I really like these and the price is amazing. The only problem is the packaging was poor for the delivery. The box had nothing to protect it and was alone in the larger one. It is possible for these pencils to break inside if they are tossed Hopefully the charcoal inside the pencils didn't snap. The result is a messy sharpening process.
This is what I bought for a class it I was teaching. The students were to draw guidelines on dark felt and wool, which are notoriously difficult I needed marking tools that could be easily brushed away and left a fairly narrow line, and these did a marvelous job. Other marking tools offer a more durable mark, but these were easy to brush away easily and left a reasonably narrow line. These were once available at my local quilt shops but in recent years they have been switching over to brands that make flat fabrics very well, but aren't up to the task of making sturdy or bulky.
There are lots of brands of charcoal pencils out there, but I've found that General's is the best for the price. You get quality pencils, and they These pencils are great because they go on thick and thin in one stroke, which means that I can use them for a longer period of time than my other pencils. Trying out charcoal pencils is a good idea if you are new to art and looking for something new to try.
The pencils I use exclusively for marking quilt pieces before quilting and quilt block pieces before sewing are designed for this purpose. The marks can be easily removed with a polymer eraser or with a small stencil By the time I've collected enough quilting to put the binding on, all the shadows disappear.
The white pencil is what I need to mark fabric on a regular basis. Whenever I have tried to use white pencils that are specifically marketed for quilting, they either don't leave a good mark or the tips break This sounds interesting, so I decided to try it out It's great to have them around! Leaving a nice, clear chalk line, which can also be removed easily, is the most desirable thing about them. My experience with this software has been better than anything I've ever used before.
This is perfect for writing on steel, which is notoriously difficult to do. Using steel as a writing surface has turned out to be the best thing I have found. The only thing I do with white is what I've described here, but I am sure there are a lot more uses for.
Marks from a pencil usually need to be sanded and gum eraser residue remains. I could not be happier with this charcoal pencil. Using a chalkboard eraser or a soft cloth, I was able to remove the marks. Due to the length of time it would take me to use up 12 pencils, I shared them with some friends who are woodworkers. Those who have used the pencil have all said how helpful it was. The pencil sharpens easily, and when you need a fine line or mark it does so easily.
I was a little concerned when the bubble mailer arrived with these pencils. The charcoals lay down smoothly and I am pleased with them. I was concerned that the charcoal would be damaged inside the pencil. I have used almost the entire pencil and have not encountered any damage. In order for me to keep the art, I use them with black foam board and "chalk" art. Excellent product. I am happy with it.
