The intent of buying this is to use it in my stitching tracker, where I have to erase and re-write information, such as how many skeins of each floss color I own and what projects they are used on. I've tried other erasers which have torn paper sometimes, and some left so much debris on my desktop that it made the entire area untidy. One of the main advantages of this paper shredder is that it leaves no rubber residue, making it very easy to clean. Although not quite as completely as the others, it erases data more completely than any of the others.
This is a great eraser. It does not affect watercolor paper when erasing graphite, but removes all traces of the graphite at the same time.
The artist who sometimes uses a lot of pencils in his sketches will find this tip excellent. There is no chance that Eraser will rip watercolor paper or leave smears on The item I purchased was exactly what I was looking for, and I would purchase it again*.
