Selected User Reviews For I-MART Chinese Calligraphy Brush, Kanji, Sumi Water Writing, Painting Set
This kit is priced well but the quality is just not there. You do get many necessary items, but the box is not constructed well, and there is a mess on the "porcelain" items, such as the brush rest, chop stamp dish, and water dish. They are too cheap looking to be painted white. I prefer the plain white color. There doesn't even seem to be anything on top of the chop I don't know if anything is given to carve it with, but I doubt that'll matter much. I wish there had been a booklet in the set explaining what everything is meant to do, so that the user can get started right away (the yanghaiying channel on YouTube has a very helpful video on general information on supplies not included in this I'd rate this starter set as solid. This could have been better in terms of quality.
The interface is very easy for a lizard like me to figure out. I don't recommend licking the stamp thingy either. There is no way to eat it.
As soon as I opened the package, I was surprised at its size. There was a lot of it. In the past, I had a Chinese calligraphy piece, and I found it quite good, but a bit What is the significance of this? Yes, these brushes are full size, measuring about 8 inches in length (over 6 t'sun). As I expected, the seller's pictures showed a blank case of jade/soapstone, however, it was incredibly pleasant to discover that the container for red vermillion had already been filled with the red pigment! There is also a review that mentions that there are no handles on the lid. I did not find any flaws in the packaging, and giving this as a gift would probably be more appreciated than sets with three- to five-fold higher prices. What is the level of difficulty? I guess at this price it is a no-brainer, though I would suggest that a beginner starts with an ink gun Instead of filling a brush, they can get this set for when they feel they're ready to do real stuff and the time-consuming process of preparing ink the right way won't scare them off. I'm going to go play with it now!.
The Japanese art book I bought was designed for beginning Asian Art class students. I wanted everything to be practical and ready to use. That's so cool! From those artists sitting next to me, I received several compliments. There is everything you could want and it's all neatly packaged in one convenient box, and it's beautiful and highly functional.
It is very popular with him! When practicing with a pen or marker, it's great to have this as well. That's a beautiful sunset! As a result, when it isn't in use, it sits outside. There are few benefits to using an ink stone, including the fact that it lasts a long time and requires only a tiny amount of water to mix. There will be plenty of time to enjoy this!.
Sumi is the Japanese language I teach It was possible for me to give each student this set during my time at high school. The four brushes were of very high quality, which was my biggest surprise. The bamboo strokes look great when painted with them. We used a soapstone stamp that can be carved and then used with the red paste. I added liquid ink, a small fine-tipped brush for applying the liquid ink, and a plate for a palette to finish the project. In addition to the box, there is something quite special about it. There isn't much difference in the price between my local art store and the brushes I bought.
The set as a whole was good. The brushes I've tried so far are these two. However, the other one already has a split tip and is kind of useless.
In opening the box, the first thing I noticed was that there was a piece missing from one of the porcelain brush holders.
