Currently, the best way that I've found to clean oil paintings is this system
5/5

The last year has been my first year of oil painting. Trying to clean the brushes before painting was quite the chore, to put it mildly. Since the cleaning solution was expensive I tried making my own container using an old cup and some screen wire cut to size to scrub the brush against. This was better than dipping the brush in the solution and using my fingers, but still not Eventually, I broke down and bought a metal container with an insert to scrub the brush in. Although the solution was better, it still became murky quickly and used up a lot of it. I saw this one and didn't expect it to be much, if any, better, but I felt I had to give it a try anyway. I am glad I took this step! My jaw dropped when I saw how much better it works. With the wire part, you use less solution and the paint comes off of the brush so much better than with the insert with holes where you rub your brush. The paint comes off so much cleaner and more completely as well. With this method, I'm done in half the time I needed to with my previous one. My favorite feature of this one is the fixed lid, which is easier to open and close than the clips on the other one. The only drawback that I have found is that the wire part tends to lift up when you run the brush over it, particularly with smaller brushes. I got better at using it as I got used to Nevertheless, I find it to be easier to use than anything I have tried so far. The glass container does seem quite sturdy although I tend to be kind of clumsy. The glass is thick and pretty thick so I don't think it'll break easily. My rating for those things went unaffected because neither of them merited taking a star away. (If I drop it and it breaks, I might change my mind. I find this to be a really great product and would recommend it highly.

Cleaning brushes with this tool is a breeze! The cleaning tool is exactly what I used for my oil painting brushes and I now have one for my acrylic brushes
5/5

A quality one like this is hard to find, and I would recommend it as the best option to beginners or seasoned artists alike. I really like that it has a cover that fits tight, so if I'm taking it to class or just taking it for leisure, I don't have to worry about spills. This jar's glass is thick and heavy, and it truly stands up to daily use. Added to that, there is also a metal dome on the bottom, which is a great tool for cleaning brushes and tools of paint. As a last step, I bought the jar because it was much cheaper here instead of going to any art supply store around town and buying. I love your product! Thank you so much!.

It's great to have brush cleaning tanks! A brush cleansing tank like this is a great product
5/5

There is a dome on top of it The inner mash net is shaped in such a way that you can remove all the colors from the brush from within. Furthermore, the mesh ensures that dirty pigments do not get back onto the brush because it allows them to settle at the bottom. Here are some pictures of me.

I like it very much
5/5

A mineral spirit bottle is contained in it. My brushes are mostly clean after I have painted and cleaned them with mineral spirits. I let the paint settle for a day, then pour off the liquid. Using the spoon, swirl all the remaining liquid around in the bottom and dispose of it. After you have cleaned the screen and cleaned most of the mineral spirits, replace the screen and clean mineral spirits. There was a report of leakage on the other brand, so I bought this one. I don't see any leaks with this one. I learned from a friend that you simply can't get the cleaning spring out of the other one so the fact that I can remove the screen to clean thoroughly has made me very.

I am in awe of this! This is one of the most important tools for painters
5/5

I love how easy it is to clean my brushes after using this! A glass of water and two cans of soda were on my desk One with soap, one to rinse out the soap, and one last time to really clean them. The number of mine is now just In the jar, I put water and a little soap, and I now have clean drinking water. Once I rinse my brush in this water, it stays clear when I rinse in clean water. I was able to remove all of the paint with it Water gets dirty when the little screen in the bottom of the jar comes out, so you can clean the screen and jar as well. It would have been nice to have known about this last year when I first Whether you paint or not, you will want.

I'm okay with it
3/5

My objective was to find a turp jar that looked like the old ones from my high school art class, and this is the closest match I could find. Jar is made of glass and is as strong as it gets, but it doesn't seem the plastic lid can be fully closed. It may be the result of all the twisting open and closing I've done over the past year and a half, or perhaps it is simply the design of the lid, but I found the jar had tipped over and turp was spilling all over the Wire mesh is perfect for cleaning brushes because it prevents them from tangling. I would rate this jar as an okay jar, as long as you keep it upright and expect some leakage in the event of falling.

I love it! You need this if you're a painter
5/5

Your cleaning fluid will remain clean longer and you will save so much time. Because of the mesh at the bottom, you can thoroughly dry paint off the brush much faster than with just a regular tub, and that means you won't have to waste your rags on wiping paint off your brushes - which will in turn make your brushes last longer. It is also possible to save on brush cleaning fluid if you let the paint settle to the bottom of the jar in between sessions. the next time you open the jar the clean fluid will be at the top and the paint at the bottom, so you will save fluid by doing this. There is a lot of weight and stability to this jar, and I really enjoy using it.

The oil paint can be used for These jars tend to clean the paint off the brushes better than silicone ones, so I prefer them to silicone ones
5/5

My preference is to fill them with walnut oil and use that for cleaning while painting rather than OMS. Generally, I don't need to replace them for quite a while before I feel the need to do so. Although I do my best to not fray the bristles when I wipe the brush against the grate, I'm fairly gentle.
