This stretcher is similar to our full 30" to 59" stretcher, but instead of two extension rods, it only has one.

PANT STRETCHER FROM THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA Pant Stretcher is a simple to use tool that will help you increase the waist size of your pants. Made of wood and 3/8 x 16 metal threaded rods that are heavily secured in the wooden ends with counter sunk nuts.

All metal and wood, unlike plastic, will not bend, break, or strip threads.

When you wash your favorite pair of jeans, do they shrink? Or have you put on some weight around your waist? It's not a problem.

Is it possible to stretch the butt area from front to back to achieve a looser fit? Thanks?

Yes. Wet the waistband (if it's not denim, soak it), zip it up, and apply pressure slowly. Stretching dry waistbands is never a good idea. These are best for older jeans with the overall fit remaining the same but the fibers of the wasteband drawing together due to the doubled up material. The only part of the waistline that will stretch is the doubled-up waistline, which is designed for men who can't wear larger waistline jeans because their butts aren't big enough to keep them from falling down.

My cotton/poly mix jeans could use an inch or two of stretch. They had only been stretched. What can we do to keep them from overstretching?

They are unlikely to stretch any further than you require. They may shrink a little after being washed.
