Questions & Answers

Is it possible to cut this canvas to a size of 60" x 2 yard?

Yes, two 60"x 2 yard pieces can be cut. You'll get 1 if you use the 3" margin. On both sides, there are 5 in.

Is it possible that this item 1. 2. It should be suitable for painting with watercolors. Is it possible to stretch it over a frame made of wood? Please accept my sincere thanks. ?

Weave is too coarse for watercolors, so it's best for acrylic, oil, and pouring. Stretch the fabric over the wooden frames and staple it in place; the fabric is strong and will not tear under tension.

Is this a different color?

Is the size 36" wide (or more) as advertised? Will my stretcher bars, for example, have to be shorter (34") in order for the canvas to be sized and stretched properly?

I noticed the edges of this canvas had already been torn through as soon as I unrolled it. I figured it was the edges, and I'd have to trim it down anyway to fit my stretcher bars. I also noticed colored marks on the primed side, which I'm not going to worry about because I'm going to paint over it anyway. Embedded in the prime are dead mosquitos. I'm now debating whether or not I should keep going. Let's give it a shot. br>br>All right, let's do it. I'm stretching the canvas over the bars, and it's ripping rip rip rip rip rip rip rip rip rip rip rip rip rip rip rip rip rip This is the worst quality I've ever seen while stretching a canvas in my life. If you want your children to play with paint, this canvas is suitable. If you want to be a serious painter, this is the place to be. THIS PRODUCT SHOULD NOT BE PURCHASED.

Don't do business with this company! The quality is extremely poor, and I give it a two-thumbs-down rating
3/5

The item came with a conveyor belt. From the back, there are embedded ripples. The flaws were symmetrical and ran the length of the yardage. The gesso was also of poor quality. Although the canvas is student-grade, I will never buy anything else from this vendor. Returning it and hoping/waiting for a refund is not worth the second headache. Unbearable anxiety knowing that the supplier knows how to make canvas but intentionally ships a defective product. br>br> Has now lost a new customer who made their first purchase. The box was partially opened when it arrived, and there was no additional fill. This vendor should not be used to terrify your students. I'm going to stick with Fredrix or Windsor Newton for now.

Rather than canvas, it's more like a thick paper
3/5

This is a disaster. I’m not sure what this material is, but’s 100% NOT 12oz canvas it’s 100% NOT 12oz canvas it’s 100% NOT 12oz canvas it’s 100% NO It's very thin and, to be honest, it feels like paper. It says it's triple primed. There's no way it's the case. Throughout the roll, there are prominent indentations. The ends are unfinished, which isn't visible in the photos. It's not a huge deal, but it would be nice if the photos reflected that. There's no way I'd try stretching this; even the slightest pressure would cause it to rip.

It's not worth the trouble

Definitely not triple primed at 12 ounces. It began wrinkling up as soon as I began painting!.

It may be acceptable, but it will require stretching
3/5

It's possible that my lack of enthusiasm for this product stems from my own lack of experience. I intended to use the canvas for large pieces (my first was 3x4 feet), but it buckles and puckers when not stretched and fastened. For smaller pieces, it might work out fine and be less expensive - I haven't actually put paint on it yet, so I'm not sure how it will react. br>br>Aside from that, the canvas appears to be strong and sturdy - excellent quality.

Canvas for a low price
3/5

The canvas is very thin. Tears occur when the frame is stretched. When a finger is stretched, it can easily warp. I'm at a loss for what to do with six dreadful yards.

I won't be purchasing anything else
3/5

The canvas is a little thin but evenly primed, so it's not suitable for a professional artist. Even after stretching and triple-folding the canvas, ripples run across its width, which is a major issue. gessoing. Permanent indentations have been made on this canvas. Is it possible that the roll I received was at the start or end of a larger roll? I've already begun using it and will be requesting a complete refund. I won't be purchasing anything else!.

Great price, no rips, and it took paint nicely
5/5

To put things in perspective, I don't know much about canvases, and I didn't know much about them when I bought this one. Based on other reviews, I decided to give it a try because I liked how much canvas I got for the money; my goal was to create a pendulum painting on a 95" long by 46" wide canvas. When I stretched the canvas, I didn't stretch it very "aggressively," so there were no rips or anything like that. The back staples held up well, and the canvas itself appears to be of excellent quality. The painting turned out beautifully. I still have plenty of canvas, so I'll be making a few more of these for friends.
