It took me a long time to discover that despite the fact that these panels are well made, they do not The warp occurs during the drying process. I dampened the back and put a heavy object on it, but that didn't seem to do any good. It is possible to paint with them only on a regular basis.

Because they are so inexpensive, I never hesitate to try a new technique with one of these. I also like the variety of sizes that they come in. Heavy painting can be done on them without they cracking.

They also don't have a ton of junk on the back, which is a HUGE plus in my book! On the back of my paintings, it is really not necessary or appreciated to have a written spot for the title and other details. i use these mainly to mount my watercolors and then glaze them, or to add an encaustic layer on top of them, so they work perfectly!.

As well as other art supplies, I ordered two sets of these canvas panels so the grandkids could each paint one. The most of the panels are in good shape, but one stack of the largest panels (11" x 14") had been affected by a heat or moisture problem, which caused them to weld together at Taking them apart (carefully) caused the canvas sides to tear.
