Using this paper for suminagashi marbling was very satisfying. a wide variety of papers, and this is by far the best. It accepts the marbling crisply and clearly on the rough side, and it is surprising durable In order to make bookbinding easier, it can be ironed flat. As well as being affordable, it's also well-built.
I have found this to be the best paper for marbling I have found so far. Acrylic paint is attracted to this paper and soaks it up right away, resulting in As I've learned (gently, gently, holding onto the paint firmly) it is a bit tricky to handle when wet (since it is narrow and fragile). But I've gotten used to it, and it holds onto the paint very well once rinsed. Drying the paper produces a paper that is just thick enough to serve as board without showing through the book. This shirt has terrific texture and a great price. I now need to find it in a bigger size.
In addition to the paper itself being very good, the sketchbook was delivered with bent edges, stained pages, and a torn seam at one end of the book. Due to the nature of this piece of paper being a practice book, many of the pages are still usable. The package and shipping of this item were not satisfactory.
It is thin and lightweight. On one side, there is a smooth surface. This semi sheer gel is smooth on one side and rough on the other, used for gel printing, etc. This is a nice size 9x12" sheet of 48.
I have used this paper many times and it is great for painting on with collage art. I prefer to use acrylics and this is my pick for collage papers.
I like the texture and how it picks up ink.
I received the exact product that I ordered.
