Questions & Answers
Yes, absolutely! These boards were created using a combination of watercolor and encaustic.
Baking is something I'm not so sure about. I've only worked with claybord and dried it with a heat gun. I've noticed that if exposed to direct heat for an extended period of time, it cracks, so I'm not sure if baking it would be a good idea.
This is comparable to the cost of a four-pack on other websites. The description for the single board appears to have been copied from Ampersand's site.

Claybord is extremely delicate and easily chipped or scratched, and one of the pieces unfortunately has a damaged corner. I'd give it a two-star rating because of the packaging, but Ampersand is fantastic in and of itself.
I was overjoyed that there were no marks on it and that it did exactly what I needed it to.
I'd like for the sides and back of this board to be waterproof. During production, a clear coat on the back and sides would be fantastic.
In all of my mixed media work, I use Claybord by Ampersand as my preferred surface. Paint, glue, and other materials are easily applied to the surface.
Pack. This was purchased as a present for a friend who is a visual artist. She was enthralled by the four-person game. Pack! Note: These are very thin boards. I was under the impression that I had only received two claybords at first- until I got a better look at it! Everything is in its place. Thanks!.
This is a high-end product - They're quite slick, so it'll take some time to get used to them -.
Used for a variety of purposes in the arts.
