Questions & Answers

The bobbins in the box sit on spools that are in the box, or are they just long, empty It would have been nice if they had more photos. ?

There is no such thing. Space with dividers is all that exists. Bobbins spin and thread becomes tangled every time the thread is moved, so there is nothing to prevent this. Think about the Bobbin Saver, which forces the bobbins to stay upright in a donut shape so the thread won't be spun off. It was a pain to deal with the tangled thread each time I needed a new bobbin out of this case.

Are there any 15J styles that can be used?

There will be 15 j bobbins available.

The box looks like it could hold Brother bobbins for sewing machines?

That would seem to be the case. The case has not been filled yet, because it is a gift for my granddaughter and she has a Brother machine. There are five rows in the case, and each row is 1" wide and" long. The diameter of the gap is 1/8" and the length is 3". Thank you very much for your help.

Is it possible to buy bobbin boxes that are filled with bobbins already?

It's the first time I've seen a box full of bobbins like this. You can use it for your bobbins because it's the perfect size. My goal is not to have to stop working on my project to refill a bobbin because I pre-fill several of the color threads I am using. If you purchase bobbins, make sure to purchase the exact size your machine needs and to purchase your bobbins directly from the manufacturer. My first purchase of bobbin was with a name I had never heard of, and I threw the bobbins away. After purchasing the bobbins, she bought others.

There's nothing to worry about You can keep your bobbins there
3/5

Considering that it holds the bobbins, this bobbin box, if that's what you want to call it, is okay and does the job. Unfortunately, the major problem of this bobbin box is the following Each bobbin is not contained in a separate compartment The threads on the bobbins entangle, resulting in bobbins that are This bobbin box is no different from a small little generic box that I have that also holds bobbins because the threads still get tangled with each other. Bobbins still uncoil in the box, so my problem with tangled threads remains. In my opinion, I would not have bought this if I had done proper research, as there are better bobbin boxes out there (i. e. There are many kinds of bobbin boxes (for instance, compartments for the bobbins themselves). It is therefore advisable to purchase a bobbin box that has a compartment for each bobbin, since this will be MUCH more organized and make the process much simpler. Generally speaking, this bobbin box is not terrible (it is nice in that it holds bobbins and small sewing tools) It is the lack of compartments that is the problem, since the threading is not properly secured in place.

It is a handy little box
5/5

Adapting to the points of view of the stories of various period periods, I work as a historic dressmaker all the time. Therefore, I have dozens of spools of thread in To start with, I kept the bobbins in a drawer of a small plastic tabletop dresser, but they got twisted and mixed up, and the threads tangled together, so I had to pick through them to find the color I wanted. Consequently I went searching for ways to organize my bobbins at a low cost. Here's a neat little box I found recently and I couldn't be more thrilled. I like it because it's small, so I don't have to take up a lot of space, Five rows are available for you to put your bobbins in there. Since my organization is based on color, I don't have to thumb through a whole row to find the color I'm looking for. A snap of the lid opens and closes it easily. There is just one other complaint the rows aren't quite the right size, which leaves just enough space left at the end of the row for the bobbins to rattle around, but it is not enough for an extra bobbin to fit. There is a little frustration, but it is not a major issue. Maybe they did this so that different types of bobbins would fit? I love this bobbin box in any case. As it stands, my bobbin holder is full, so I am back to tossing them into my little drawer, so I think it's time for a second one. I highly recommend it with five stars.

This product is unusable for intended purposes
3/5

Before I make a purchase on Amazon, I always read the reviews. I buy from Amazon because of this. It was just a bobbin case, so I didn't waste time on it. I made the same mistake last time. Unlike bobbin cases, this one is not for rolls of thread This is just a little box for storing things that I am sure I will find a use for one day. This product is unusable for intended purposes. Bobbins can't fit in the long slots because they're too tall and undivided, so, unless you put enough in each open slot, they fall over and tangle. If you want to throw them away, then put them in the box of your sewing machine. The cables get tangled there, too, but they are easier to access. Well, it is what it is. Let's find some actual storage solutions for bobbins. Sorry to hear that.

Simple, sturdy, and excellent for storing bobbins
5/5

This is a great little bobbin box. As far as I am concerned, my Plastic Bobbins have stayed in place just fine. I'm not sure if my bobbins are larger than others, but I haven't had the same problems with them turning and unraveling as other reviewers have experienced. In addition, I found an extra bonus. In spite of ordering two of these, I am now able to use the spare for holding all my extra embroidery feet (including the large embroidery foot that came with my Brother SE-100). There is also a tool for changing from the sewing foot to the embroidery foot on the 400. Thank you very much for providing me with a nice place to organize everything. Compared with the thin vinyl bag they all came in with the machine, this is much better.

As long as you store it flat and stack it appropriately, it will look great Four of these bobbins are now in my possession
4/5

When I'm finally able to learn the new machine, I may even need additional boxes. This is a bobbin box that makes a lot of As long as you store it flat and stack it appropriately, it will look great Such molded boxes would be of more use than molded boxes that could only hold a certain number. Each of these boxes holds 30 bobbins for sure, and if you turn three rows of them so that they are sideways, we can actually get 35 bobbins in each. This is a time saver, particularly if you have a tendency to prewind white, black, and neutral bobbins in advance when using these colors often.

It does not hold bobbins very well
3/5

According to the Amazon picture on the product page, there are neatly organized bobbins inside the box. This diagram makes it look easy, but it is indeed quite difficult to maintain the organization depicted since there is only a divider between the columns of bobbins separating them. Rows of the table have no dividers. This would mean that when you put 30 bobbins in this bobbin case, and try to pull one out, it may be hard to get one The bobbins will move around in the case if it is not filled, and the threads will tangle if the box is not filled. Although it cannot hold needles and sewing foot attachments, it is very useful for holding needles. It is now up to me how I will use it. The bobbin box I later purchased was different from the one I originally bought. In my opinion, the Dritz Bobbin Box is the best. It can hold The machine separates each bobbin by hand. As you can see by the dark blue bottom of the box, each thread color can easily be seen against the dark background. The case also comes with a clear snap-on lid so you can see through it. The bobbins are kept in a neat and organized manner by keeping each separate and easy to locate when you need a particular.

You can find better ones out there, but this one is okay
3/5

I loved the size of it and that it would hold bobbins well, but I did not like how it would slightly unthread every time I pulled bobbins out, leaving you with twenty 8-inch lengths of thread over your clothing. It now occurs to me that there are ones that come with foam inside, which work much The plastic is strong and holds up well, but this does the job. It's small and easy to use. The ones I had with foam to hold the bobbins in place were the ones I gave away because of the other ones.
