I then filled the compartments with my beads and sealed the box. Because the dividers did not extend all the way to the bottom of the box, my 30 different colors of beads became mixed up. My project is, without a doubt, doomed. I'm never going to be able to separate these beads! Very let down.
This is a fantastic organizer! I bought it to keep my embroidery floss organized. This model is identical to one I purchased from a different seller - Basic, but more than adequate The plastic is light but not flimsy, and the long-direction dividers (in groups of two) can be removed. The latches and hinges are in good working order, and each compartment can hold three bobbins of floss. I needed something simple and functional.
This is an excellent large storage box. I'm going to get another one to organize the rest of my jewelry-making supplies. The only complaint I have is that the removable dividers slide out too easily, and if I'm not careful, I'll pull up the divider and my beads will be out of their respective slots.
It was a very reasonable price. This is a cinch to work with. Cleaning is also a breeze. My earnings appear to be quite good.
The removable dividers made it easier to keep track of the various commemorative pins I wanted to keep. Because each section was so small, I rearranged them to make them fit better. Quick shipping!.
I wish I could say I was more blown away by these. They're the perfect size and have plenty of compartments, but when the latch is undone, the lid kind of flies up. In addition, there is just enough space between the lid and the dividers for things like beads to fall through the cracks and get mixed up, which is extremely inconvenient. I'm a tad let down.
The lid, in particular, was made of flimsy (light) plastic. It's fine for very light items like beads, but I wouldn't recommend it for anything heavier. After a lot of use, I don't think the lid will hold up. It made a loud creaking noise every time it was opened from the beginning, as if it hadn't been properly attached at the factory. Other than for very light items, I would not recommend this product. They'll suffice if that's what you want to do with them.
These storage boxes are fantastic. I had previously purchased some to store my bag-making supplies and thought they'd be ideal for beads - They are, indeed! I like how if you accidentally upend them, everything stays in its place and doesn't get mixed up. Here are your boxes if you have a lot of small items to organize.
