Questions & Answers

What is the difference between this tool and a lockstitch for hand sewing leather?

In short, yes. The machine works similarly to a sewing machine in that one thread is on one side while another (really the same thread, but it is used like a different thread) is on the other side. At first the needle is pushed through, then the thread is When the awl pulled down, it emerged on the other side. Thread now appeared on both sides of the piece of The stitch is moved over one stitch and pushed to the opposite side (there are two threads on the For a locking stitch, the loose thread on that side is inserted over the loop and then pushed back under. If the stitches should run if one stitch gets cut in a dangerous application such as climbing or safety gear, one can tie a square knot every stitch or every several stitches. Additionally, the loose end can be simply twisted three times to prevent the stitches from running if one There are 45 pounds of tensile strength and 25 pounds of strength in the thin thread Approximately 55 pounds of tensile strength is needed for the heavier thread. That is a really cool tool! As for stitch patterns, there are different types that hold different levels of strength, but that is too hard to describe and can only be described by using examples.

This is for fixing a seam on a canvas we are using in our pop-up shop It's time to set up camp. Do you think this will Is there another needle I need to use?

The needles come with the awl are too large for lightweight canvas found on RVs, and may well cause water to seep into the canvas. Although the needle is not as large as some, it may get the job done better than the larger one.

Is this machine intended for sewing fabric such as denim or sewing buttons on?

Although it may be used to sew heavy denim, I don't think it will be able to sew on buttons unless the buttons are very large. This tool is used for sewing leather or very heavy fabrics. I'm not sure if you can buy a different size needle for the awl than you can for a sewing needle.

A lot of simple fixes are needed for this idea to be as good as it is
3/5

It would be great if they made Though it may be the best there, it certainly misses the mark in many ways. Below are some attached images a) A diagram of the various components 1) a simple description of the product 2) an example of how it might be used in order to fix some of its flaws (failure of thread to feed through the awl properly)

4) A competitor's product that offers a design that may solve most of the flaws in this product. The good 1) comfortably fits in the palm of the hand
2) lock is very secure when the needle is being inserted
3) thread post is well designed (allowing the needle to slide up the post freely)
3) it is a good idea. 1) If the "bobin" (string spooler) is full too much, the thread will not feed correctly, and may bite or sink into the spool of string contained within. Our recommendation is Sadly, there isn't much we can do about it. I want to bring this up since my stitcher was sent with a bobbin that was too full. 2) the "tension post" (the silver tack around which the string will wind when it's released from the spool handle) bends easily and is weak. Such an issue should not arise for a premium product. Our recommendation is I suggest upgrading the tension post. 3) It's very difficult to remove the "end cap. ". It was damaged by pliars (I bent the weak metal while bending it) as I had to use them. , again, this shouldn't be the case when it comes to a premium product. Our recommendation is To make the end cap easier to remove, 1) smooth the metal edge on the end cap so that it is not abrasive 2) attach a braided string or metallic wire on the end cap. 2) The hole from which the thread comes off the bobin gets gouged by the thread as it exits the hole. It is eventually decided that a cut has formed in the wooden handle, so the thread gets tangled there. A bad design like this is unacceptable. It's a bad design to put the hole at such an angle. From the bottom of the bobin, where the thread extends, a very severe angle emerges from the spool (bobin) to the hole where the thread needs to Our recommendation is The problem can be solved by widening the hole on the inside of the sewing awl handle and by filling it with My personal experience was that after I whittled the hole out (on the inside of the sewing awl) with a knife, all the thread was able.

It is better to stitch in time than to patch later

Well, we're talking about a sail bag here. As far as I'm concerned, this is an absolutely essential feature on a sailboat. It will come in handy if you need to repair Sunbrella or a sailbag before it gets ripped to shreds by the wind while you are heading to the sail repair facility. The program does exactly what it is Then why not give it a try? br>br>br>++++++++++++++++++++++++br>ABOUT After finally growing tired of the traffic and the lack of choices when I went to the local big-box store, I stopped shopping there I have given up shopping at big-box stores so I now almost exclusively shop at Recently, I read an article which I thought was interesting.

You can learn how to do it on YouTube I will watch videos first
5/5

The stitching on the canvas of my pop up trailer had come loose, causing a hole to appear. As I wished to avoid paying a lot of money to repair it, I started searching youtube for solutions. A friend of mine mentioned this product to me and I decided to give it a try. Two YouTube videos appeared to be easy to follow before I attempted it. Most of the setup was already done when it was delivered. It took me no longer than a few minutes to attach the needle and let the string run With 15 minutes from start to finish, I had repaired my PC in about 15 minutes, and you cannot even tell that This handy tool has made doing repairs very easy for me and I feel confident to do another repair if needed! Actually, I'm always looking at things around my house to figure out what else I can fix just so I can use them As a trailer tool, it will be included in my trailer kit for emergency repairs. Thank you for this great.

It's amazing how well it sews Over the last few years, I have used one of these to sew and repair heavy-duty clothing The ranchers use leather that weighs more than a pound
5/5

In addition to repairing saddles and making knife sheaths for me and my nephews here and there, I also handle heavy-duty crafts such as sculpture. Sewing and repair work should be light. It is very quick to do these jobs using the Speedy Stitcher. Use a leather punch or marking fork to mark the holes, and then pre-punch to make the holes You should use the 1/16 drill bit on leathers that are heavy. As a result, it's easier to push the needle through You don't have to buy a 2x4 if you simply have a small project and a scrap board Once this is done you just need to push into the soft wood a little, pull the tip back from the wood, and again go about your work. I have noticed that there are many online videos that can be used to teach you how to use it if you do not know how to sew Those of you who are in that situation need not worry as it is simple to accomplish. Take a look at the video below and you'll be an expert in no time!.
