This is a sewing tool that my wife bought. She sews everything and has been known to use a double-sided bamboo stiletto, a purple thang, or whatever else she could find to get the job done for years. She threw a fit because of this insignificant device! It's a game changer, according to her, and is ideal for tailoring, alterations, quilting, crafts, and, most importantly, "stitching in the ditch!" "Now that she has this tool, she is more excited than ever to do more intricate work!".
I'm aware that these are used in the sewing world; my mother used them when she made her own clothes in the 1960s. I like the size of this curved two awl because the slight bend allows me to get into small spaces in tangled chains that customers bring in for repair. This awl, as well as the straight end, were made by Clover. They're useful when used in tandem. br> Highly recommended for anyone interested in either world.
It's great for picking out stitches because it lifts them up, it fits ergonomically in my hand, and it was reasonably priced and delivered on time.
I started using it as soon as I got it to help keep the edges of quilt blocks together while they were being pieced together with a sewing machine. It's a cinch to use.
However, it is sturdy and well constructed; I only wish it were longer!.
This awl is one of my favorites to use, especially when I make a mistake with my long arm. There's no way to use a traditional ripper to cut the quilt.
This handy tool comes in handy when I need to make holes in fabric for my crochet projects. It's fantastic!.
This is the kind of high-quality Clover product I expect, and it's a sturdy tool, but the tip isn't sharp enough to grab fabric and move it under the needle of my sewing machine.
