Wow, these are fantastic for the price! I grew up with Grandma and Mom's Singer stainless steel shears, which you were warned not to use on paper or anything else besides fabric with your life. I even have three pairs of those pricey Singer stainless steel shears that I decided to try instead of having the others sharpened. TOTAL SUCCESS! These are fantastic. They're razor-sharp, cut through fabric without fraying or catching, and are reasonably priced. I ordered a second pair to turn into "kids shears," so they could cut their own fabrics, cut off their jeans, and so on. This was an excellent buy. br>br>Oh, and one more thing: I felt alive after buying these because I went out and cut some paper with my old stainless steel shears; however, we now have really expensive stainless steel paper cutting scissors for the kitchen.
Scissors with a razor-sharp edge and a comfortable grip. If you're anything like me, you'll keep these hidden from your family so they don't ruin them. Oh, my goodness! Fabric is cut like butter with this blade. It's a good size for juggling multiple projects. Friends, please don't let your children or spouse use these on paper, cereal bags, or your dog's hair. These are valuable assets that should be safeguarded. I can see them from across the room because of their pink color. Put those down right now, Jimmy!.
I was skeptical when I first saw these because of the low price; I reasoned that they couldn't possibly be that good for $5. But, for $5, what harm could it do to give it a shot? Particularly after reading some positive feedback. So I placed an order and was looking forward to trying them. I received them about 6 days ago and was ecstatic because they were so much better than I had anticipated. Every day, I make bands out of fold over elastic, and I can wrap fabric around something 25 times (for a total of 25 layers of elastic) and cut right through it. If you're looking for a pair of fabric scissors, these are the ones to go with. It will not be a mistake!.
After only 3 months of use, they broke, and Amazon refused to take them back.
Fabric scissors are something I don't use very often at home. I ordered these because I don't know what happened to my old ones (I assume they were buried in the craft closet after a move last year). I'm pleased with them, especially since they cost less than ten dollars. I'd buy them again without a doubt. I plan to use them exclusively for fabric cutting because I believe they will last longer that way. br>br>I don't need to cut through 16 layers of denim at the same time (! ), but I had no trouble cutting through one layer of denim. I was able to get a straight line without causing any damage to the fabric. These scissors' blades are certainly sharp enough for my needs (though the scissors themselves aren't dangerous). br>br>They're a little big, but the product title says 8 1/2 inches, so I expected them to be big. Even though I have small hands (women's extra small glove size), I had no trouble handling them. (However, I do not suffer from arthritis or any other medical condition that would impair my grip. ) Because of the black part, I can get a good grip on them. br>br>For the record, I've been using these right-handed. (Although I am left-handed, I have always despised left-handed people. ) scissors (one-handed). In addition, as previously stated, I am a sporadic user of the home. These might not be suitable for someone who sews a lot or professionally. But, for someone like me, they're perfect.
My experience was similar to that of many others on this site. BROKE in less than a month, despite the fact that I didn't use them very often.
Anyone who has worked with fleece knows that it destroys scissors, and when it does, the scissors retaliate by destroying it as well. br>I've gone through two pairs of scissors since January (it's almost May now), hoping to learn how to sharpen them or keep them from dulling so quickly, but I've cut a LOT of fleece in that time. br>They were $10 the first time I bought them, which was reasonable; however, I'm not sure I can justify buying them if the price keeps rising (they're about $14 now). If I can't figure out how to sharpen these or make them last longer before becoming dull, I'll probably go out and buy some easy-to-sharpen scissors. br>br>I'd expect regular fabrics to last longer than they do for me if I'm working with them. They cut with a nice sharp, clean edge.
Every time you use scissors, you can expect sharp, professional results. I was looking for the best scissors to get started with my sewing hobby, and I came across this product on Amazon. They use a laser to cut fabric and other materials. I'm glad I bought them because they're sharp and easy to manipulate, as well as very comfortable in the hand. Other Amazon customers would benefit from this product, and I would recommend it to them.
