Questions & Answers

Is this a four-inch blade? or is it the entire length, including the handle?

The scissor's blades are 1 1/2 inches long, and the overall length of the scissor, including the handle, is 4 1/2 inches. They're razor-sharp and simple to work with, in my opinion. The point is also very sharp, which makes them ideal for fine detail work.

Is it possible to use these to cut felt with?

I used them to cut felt, and they worked well. However, I prefer to save them for small stitches and details, such as when doing applique for embroidery, rather than for major fabric cutting. Larger scissors from the same brand might be better for the job.

Does this item come with a sheath?

Unfortunately, we do not have a sheath for these professional scissors, which are 4 1/2 inches long.

Can both right and left-handed people use these scissors?

Yes, the Singer 4-in-1 is a good choice. A right- or left-handed person can use 1/2 inch. Because there are no angled grips in the handle, it is not suitable for people who use their hands.

These fine-toothed scissors are a personal favorite of mine
5/5

These scissors have made a huge difference in my felt stocking kits. br>br>I began with a pair of 3" blade scissors that I thought were small enough. It was a slow slog even with them precisely cutting out pieces. However, once these were delivered, cutting went twice as fast. The blades' low profile allows me to see to cut on either side of the line, and the tips are sharp and very pointed, allowing me to snip corners and sewn threads (mistakes). br>br>If used for an extended period of time, the handles become uncomfortable. I wouldn't use these to make a pattern for clothing. However, if you're working on a small project that requires a lot of fiddly cuts, these will come in handy.

It's best to use thin fabric; medium and up are a bit of a letdown
3/5

As a result, these tiny scissors are fantastic. They're also quite incisive. However, despite their name, they do not perform the functions that the majority of people expect. Although the "nano tip" is extremely pointed, it lacks significant cutting power. Crafters should be aware that, while these are great for small cuts, they lack the necessary edge or whatever it is to trim with the precision that they suggest. Maybe I was using the wrong fabric with them, or maybe I just needed to sharpen mine, but I've had them for a while, and while I like them for projects that require the precision of small shears, the precision does not come from the tip of the scissors. To get the cutting power I require, I must employ more of the middle. This is just my opinion, and I think they're a useful tool; I just wanted to let people know that if they're looking for extreme precision at the tips of their scissors, these aren't for them, at least not with medium weight fabrics; however, with thin and fine fabrics, they're spot on. Organza and silks are what I'm referring to. These puppies are the bomb when those tiny frayed edges stick through a hem. That fact should, in my opinion, be mentioned in the description. Just putting it out there. br>br>In a nutshell - The tips are only really useful for ultra-thin fabrics, but they're still great short scissors. ONLY USE FABRIC SCISSORS ON FABRIC! br>br>FABRIC SCISSORS ARE ONLY TO BE USED ON FABRIC! NEXT TO PAPER! That is all there is to it.

Little scissors that are just right
5/5

The perfect pair of scissors! Sharp as a razor. They're assisting in the feeding of my pom pom-loving pom-loving pom-loving Creating an obsession, but in a positive way Because they're such small tools, you wouldn't want to use them to cut long pieces of fabric. But only for snips that are small, sharp, and clean. These are perfect, and they're a lot cheaper than Michael's or Hobby Lobby.

If you need to get into small spaces, these are the scissors to use
5/5

Many scissors aren't designed to cut right at the tip. These do. They were purchased to remove fine silky hair from between my Pappion's paw pads. They'll easily snip off a couple of stringy pieces. Despite their sharpness, they are actually safer because I can snip off just a few hairs with them, and they are sharp enough to cut on the tip, so I don't have to cram the scissor in any further to find a cutting spot. I also like these small scissors for tying up loose threads.

Three issues significantly detract from the otherwise excellent performance
3/5

PERFECTION PERFECTION PERFECTION PERFEC I used to be able to get "regular" Singer nano-tip scissors for about half the price of these at my local grocery store. Only the plastic handles appear to be different. The blades appear to be made of the same high-strength stainless steel that I tested. As far as I can tell, the cutting ends are identical, so the plastic handles are a very costly difference. br>br>Apart from the cost, the most significant issue is their strength - They have a solid feel to them, but they quickly wear out. I strongly advise you to only use them for snipping threads, in which case they should last a long time; they do come with a lifetime guarantee, according to the card on mine, but it also stated that you must return them to another company rather than Singer. If they told you where they were, that would be fantastic. They give you the company name but nothing else, including a website, and a search reveals several companies with similar names, so there's no way to use the lifetime guarantee right now. Hopefully, Singer or a helpful Amazon user will be able to provide the return address if it is ever required. I sincerely hope that future batches of these scissors will include cards explaining the supposed lifetime guarantee in detail. They only received two stars because of these three issues; otherwise, they are AMAZING. The most significant advantage is the nano-tip. On computerized embroidery, they can easily cut the threads between letters. They're so good that I use them to unpick stitching. I've tried a lot of specialty sewing scissors that claim to be "made" for embroidery, but the tips are too thick to cut close. Despite the fact that they are several times more expensive, I am unable to get them under some stitches. I've given up on all of my embroidery scissors in favor of these Singer scissors - That's how good of a design they've come up with! If only they were produced in a high-quality manner. They'd be perfect if they were made of high-grade machine tool steel (which wouldn't dull after a year of use).

Sharp, comfortable in my hands, and well-made
5/5

These are fantastic. They're small, razor-sharp, and never miss a beat when cutting thread. These are super comfy and fit perfectly in my teeny-tiny hands. I've found that the handle holes on some of the smaller scissors are either too big or too small for my liking; these, on the other hand, are a perfect fit, which is why I bought several pairs. I also like how simple it is to sharpen them with a basic scissor sharpener. When I misplace them, the pink color helps me find them quickly. br>br>These scissors aren't from a dollar store. I cut a lot of thread on a daily basis, and these little scissors make the job a lot easier because they slice through the thread like butter without snagging it, which is crucial to me! As a result, the slightly higher price is completely acceptable to me for the quality that these scissors provide.

Smooth- Scissors that work and are extremely sharp
5/5

These Singer scissors are fantastic - I use them all the time. In fact, I'm placing an additional order for two pairs. They operate with extreme precision, and the blades are razor-sharp - It was exactly what I needed for my cross-country trip. The stitching looks great, and the scissors are the perfect size.
