To keep for food cutting, I bought another new pair. A more convenient and faster way to cut, separate, etc. than knives.
". As soon as I received them, I wrote the following It is always a good idea to use Fiskars scissors. My older Fiskars are bigger but I do not notice it. I notice they are smaller than my older Fiskars, but it does not seem to matter. I have right hand but, after a stroke, have to use my left hand, and they work fine. It turned out that the quality didn't last. I should have waited until I had them for a while. Reading another review I found out that they were no longer manufactured in the US, so I am sure that has something to do with it. There is also a lack of metal in the shears that is apparent because they are dull. With a note, I will return these to you. If Fiscars keeps up this trend, it will lose its reputation, and often its business as well.
You can't go wrong with these scissors! The worst thing that can happen to you is to use a pair of scissors that aren't working. What is it like to have that There's a reason all the infomercials portray life like that. I came here to Amazon searching for some new pairs because the ones I had were severely deformed. The first reason I found this listing was because it appeared to be a Fiskars at a great price! And what do you know, these ARE I wouldn't advise going to Joann's or Michael's to get new scissors, as they'll charge an arm and a leg. You will save (assuming free shipping is available) if you buy these here.
My original intent was to obtain a quality pair of scissors, but these did not turn out that way. It turns out I was wrong on this one. These scissors are garbage.
Being that I got the first one almost 10 years ago, I have grown up with them. They only cost ten bucks, so I need to replace them every three years, and that's fine. When they get dull, don't try to treat them like heavy shears, or they will split apart at the plastic joint that holds.
They are perfectly acceptable to me. According to some reviews, these are not as good as they used to be, and if I had not read those reviews, I might have thought they were as good as my old ones. They aren't quite as good, but for the price, they're OK. The reason I got them was to use them for cutting polyester material, because I find my GINGHERS dulled by it. It would be my pleasure to recommend them in this regard. Probably not as a substitute for Ginghers for people who are devoted to sewing, but if you just sew up a few tears or make some silly costumes for the kids, you probably would not want to invest in Ginghers.
Do you have any suggestions for loosening up a bow? The hands on my left hand are arthritic!.
My dog takes advantage of these to get her nails trimmed. A 50 pound mixed breed terrier I have has an undercoat that is dense and constantly sheds, but it also has a massive amount of hair with growing hair. She must be kept trimmed to about two inches so that I can keep up with her grooming. Even when they are more than double the cost of these Fiskars, other dog grooming scissors just don't compare. It was meant as a pun. With these, trying to do things all day is still a challenge, but they do the job. My wife hates the clippers (they clog), and so do I. We've also tried stripping combs (they clog) and constant brushing (both of us There is no better ice cream than fiskars.
