No, they haven't been abandoned. handed. For left- When holding the scissors in front of you, the blade that is connected to the thumb hole is on the right side. Right now it's raining- scissors for left-handed people Apart from the ergonomics, one of the problems with left-handed users is that when they close the scissors with their left hand, they press the blades away from each other rather than toward each other, putting more pressure on the two cutting edges. Your fingers normally pull towards your palm, while your thumb presses away from it. It is possible to press your fingers away from the palm and pull your thumb toward the palm, but this is extremely uncomfortable. Now, having said that, these scissors are tight enough due to their very solid construction that using your left hand will probably have a negligible effect on pursuing the cutting edges away from each other while using the left hand, and they are sharp enough to cut through multiple layers without needing to exert the kind of force that could cause such a thing. However, because they're designed for the right hand, they'll never be as comfortable to use as scissors designed for the left. use of one hand
ACT NOW AND PURCHASE THEM. Never again will I be without a Snavida set. Each of the three scissors is ideal for sewing, thread cutting, and general use. You can use anything from paper to cardboard to leather to canvas. The 9-inch heavy-duty blade will slash through anything and stay razor-sharp. I sew and use a Singer 4411, which is a heavy-duty machine. Watched ladies cut minuscule pieces of thread with these ginormous scissors, thinking these must cost a fortune to cut that fine of a thread, when I was 20 years old in the army and always repaired my own uniforms, putting on rank and flags, and so on. NOPE, it's the same as this. br>NO DISCRIMINATORY FEATURES: However, I would recommend investing in a good sharpener. PS: Not even the most expensive Fiskars can compete with this set!
Made in China is written on the box. These scissors are of good quality.
I got one pair of scissors and one pair of "clipper" scissors, as well as a measuring tape. That was the picture I saw when I placed my order.

It seemed like a joke at the time. That's because I didn't have a set that was as perfect as this one. Shears are used to cut like a scalpel (Combat Medic). To sew by machine or by hand, you'll need 5 in. scissors and fine snips. The photo above shows a PVC pipe tray I made to hold all of my fine implements (11 scalpels, rulers, Singer machine accessories, THIS GREAT SET, forceps, and a whole lot more). br>The 9in shears, like the snips and sm scissors, come well lubricated and in a plastic holder. The tape and ripper are also nicely packaged.
Sure, all the items were crammed into a scissors box that was only meant to hold the large scissors, and sure, the measuring rule was not the same as pictured (it was pink), but the actual cost and what you get make the order well worth it. All of the scissors are comfortable to use and sharp. This is something I'd order again if I had the opportunity.
They cut through a wide range of fabrics with ease, which I appreciate. This is an absolute must-have for any seamstress.
The scissors aren't light, and they're quite sharp. While I haven't been able to give them a thorough test, and probably won't be for a while, I did try cutting through several layers of fabric and had no trouble. The handle is pleasant to hold, and despite its thickness (approximately. I only felt minor discomfort while cutting through the layers of fabric (about 5 inches), and I doubt that any pair of scissors could have reduced the discomfort any further. Of course, a couple of layers of fabric didn't bother me, and the other scissors were more than adequate for the job, leaving the thread ends with a very clean cut rather than a ragged cut. There are no small fibers protruding from the cut end to make threading a needle more difficult. The seam ripper isn't anything special; it performs similarly to any other seam ripper I've used. It's a nice addition for anyone who doesn't have one, as they're perfectly suited for their purpose, and I use mine to remove annoying tags from shirts and other items. The measuring tape is my only gripe, which isn't really a gripe for me. As can be seen in the two photos I took, the one I received has a few manufacturing flaws. Personally, I already own a measuring tape, so this will serve as a backup. I only bring it up because the measuring tape may be a factor in some people's decision to buy this kit. I'd say this isn't common, and you're unlikely to get one that's particularly bad. Aside from that, the tape is a standard type of measuring tape. I'm not sure what it's made of, but it appears to be plastic on the outside. There's definitely some other material that the plastic is either covering or integrating with, such as fabric or fiberglass. It doesn't stretch, at least not without a lot of force, and should last a lifetime or more if it isn't abused. I'll update this review if I run into any problems.
These are the first pair of scissors I've ever owned. I assumed they'd be clumsy at first, but I was completely mistaken. They're easy to hold and cut with. The miniature version is equally impressive. If you sew, these scissors are a must-have.
These scissors are absolutely wonderful. They're razor-sharp, and I use the smaller ones to clip yarn while crocheting. The scissors are incredible. Don't be afraid to make a purchase!.
Since I've had children, I haven't had good scissors, and now that they're grown up, I decided I deserved a pair that started sharp and stayed sharp. I also desired scissors that would not vanish from my sewing box. (I had to get rid of the kids first) and I'm having a great time. These scissors are the best; I was so impressed with them that I bought a set for my youngest daughter. Actually, I didn't want her to come by and take mine, so she now has her own pair. I also bought these for my mother, because I used to take her good sewing scissors and cut everything with them, oblivious to the fact that cutting heavily glued cardboard is not conducive to keeping sewing scissors sharp.
I'd never used sewing scissors before, and they make everything a lot easier. These are extremely well-made and cut with ease. The snipper is one of my favorites as well. It made undoing stitches a breeze. Also, thank you for the nice measuring tape. Sewing becomes a lot more enjoyable as a result of this.
