Since I have not used any of the other kits, I am not able to answer your question, but I advise you to look at the pictures carefully to compare style and construction. In a nutshell, The item I bought for my wife and gave her was - During my teenage years, I was a hobby quilter and seamstress. The right tools make a world of difference, her argument stated. The tool set gives her the ability to create bias tape edges in 4 sizes, now (1", 3/4", 1/2", Bias tape is the finishing touch she is now excited to use on her projects, and she wonders if it has anything to do with the ease with which it is applied. It is simply a matter of pushing the bias tape through one of the sizes and it folds both sides to the center. I've bought two items from her. There is no doubt that I will purchase some more of their The case is really nice with foam pieces that hold things together rather than just falling out. The directions and links to the additional videos are clear. In order to fold and press the strips, I had to cut out much more fabric than I thought it would take. Madame Sew's product caught my eye immediately, and I was so happy to receive it. It came with its own storage kit with specific compartments for each item, which was really nice. The fact that it is made of metal parts and is fairly easy to use is appealing to me. As I can make my own bias tape, I can match or contrast my trim to make the best look possible. There are instructions included in the kit, as well as everything you need. The purchase was a good experience for me.
Having received this just in time for my boat bow cover I was assembling, I was able to sew the tape edge on. I figured out how to make the bias tape and presser foot fit my Kenmore machine and I'm very pleased with the quality. I am going to use it for a purpose that is not professionally geared towards commercial use, but it's working great for the purpose. I could get it for a 1/8 of the cost of the other product I was considering. This is a fair price and there is no way you could go wrong.
