Questions & Answers
No beads were used in the project, but I remember a plastic awl. A set like this is not a product I would buy. This product is of low quality and does not come with instructions. There is a case of getting what you pay for, but you get what you pay
I'm not sure why it took so long. It may have just been because of lockdown.

found the instructions for using the set on the internet without a problem. I was able to do this in no time! It was specifically because I saw a picture of a pink handled awl that prompted me to purchase this set. There was an awl with yellow handles, which I received. The system works fine, so I do not have any complaints. It turned out to be a disappointment with regard to the 12mm bias tape maker. There was no way to pass fabric through it. A light shone on the inside, and I found that one side was rusted with metal flakes sticking out. A new one must be found since the first one was defective. There were a few minor hiccups with the bias tape sewing foot, including the metal where the head of the needle and thread passed through not being smooth. There was a jagged edge on the metal that broke my thread every time. Once I file it down, I will be less frustrated.
In order to make continuous bias tape, I have only used the largest bias tape maker and Melly Sews' DIY video. It worked like a charm for me when I made my son's woven cotton shirt. The product was exactly what I was looking for. This is a highly recommended book.
It is much easier to get the tape started when you use an awl. I have been making mask ties and this has saved me a lot of time. (Hint Before inserting the fabric strip into the bias tape maker, trim both corners a bit, then pull through three times. In order to get it going, it needs to be pushed 4 inches).
I received the product as pictured and when I expected it!.
Both the price and the quality are excellent. My favorite way to make bias tape is by making it myself, so I find this to be a very good.
Even though ALL the pieces were present, there was not a single instruction in how they were to be used! There isn't even a mention of what width of fabric strip is compatible with each tape maker, in my limited understanding.
My sewing room has been greatly improved by this addition.
Savings in terms of convenience and costs.
