Questions & Answers

What is the best method for making single fold bias tape using this set?

The answer is yes, it's a one-fold. You have to iron it again after it comes out of this if you want it double folded. A single fold is all it requires otherwise. The 1" / 25mm makes a single fold of 1" or a double fold of 1/2 inch.

Where can I obtain a "How To" booklet for this product. I did not get one with the package. ?

There were no instructions included with my kit when I received it yesterday. The pictures for the item seem to have a picture with simple instructions on how to fold the tape as I read the item description again. Because there is a lack of clarity on how to use the foot attachments, I began reading the Q&A part of the Q&A site For this product, we've rated it A.

Can you tell me how big they are ?

Sam, good to hear from you. My answer will be as accurate as I can make it. It has not yet been used by me. Openings in the following areas are the largest In addition to being 1 1/8" in diameter, it is 1 inch in height and width. Next, 1/2 inch is the finished size of a 1 inch project. Finished is 3/8 inch, then 3/4 inch, then 3/4 inch. That would be 5/8 " for the smallest and 1/4 " for finished. The difference between them is about 1/8".

Can this be used with a Brother sewing machine?

I assume you're trying to find out what the foot in the kit is. Every other machine is operated by hand. The presser foot can be used on any short shank machine, of which Brother is one (there is a description of the foot for this machine). A bias tape can be made by cutting four v-shaped pieces of fabric It can be shaped into any shape. If you are sewing clothing or anything else, you should use your regular presser foot or what comes with the kit to put the tape on. If you get a custom foot, you don't need a special foot. You can find tons of how-to's on the internet There are videos about this kit on YouTube, as well as videos about bias tape in general.

In order to use the bias foot* on Pfaff machines, a universal adapter is required
5/5

Two reasons drove the purchase of this set There was only a single bias tape maker in my home, and I wanted more sizes to choose from. An example of a The Pfaff machines exhibit a unique feature when it comes to snap on feet they are one of two exceptions. It took me some time to realize this, but I finally did after reading an informative post on the madamesew. It seems that the metal bars on the Pfaff ankle are spaced farther apart than the ones on pretty much every other brand. There was a blog section on her website that explained low and high shank feet (which I was already familiar with) and explained how the two non-suspension types of feet work These are the most popular brands in the U. S. We have both Bernina and Pfaff. My machines are both connected to the network, as you probably know! As soon as I figured out the problem (after I owned this set, email (MIUSIE), since he had contacted me immediately after I got the item to check on my satisfaction. In addition to letting him know the foot would not attach to his machine, I told him I was researching the issue and wanted to order an adaptor ankle that may allow the bias foot to work. It was he who offered to take advantage of a partial credit for the set, and I took advantage of his offer. Even after I cut out all the pieces, I could still use the rest of them My first choice would be the bias foot, but I have been eager to try it. I ordered the adapter ankle, and it arrived the next day - I was very pleased with it. With Amazon's one day delivery service, you no longer have to wait for your order to arrive The way it worked was great! I have a vintage 1970s Pfaff 1471 made in West Germany made in West Germany which fits perfectly on this item, even though it is not listed on the listing as Pfaff compatible. You may now use the adapter * The description of this aperture is "ADAPTER # XC3015051 Snap-in The item was an ankle low shank holder for the Babylock Brother Singer and cost Free shipping with Prime when you spend less than $99! The option to use a variety of generic snap on feet is now available to me My daughter in law's sister's new baby already has a small baby quilt adorned with decorative binding attached to it, so I already had the bias foot to use. It just occurred to me. Having watched several youtube videos about bias feet, I am now ready to use the foot correctly. Finally, I would like to mention that I found that the foot worked best if I pulled taut at the front and back at the same time as I was feeding tape The tape was kept in its proper place in that way since the tape would have to be folded into a small fold on the left side while going As the tape fed through, I kept pressing it a little bit so that it stayed in place. I would like to thank the seller for such a stellar customer service experience!.

I was very pleased with the product, but I would have liked instructions
4/5

You can easily make bias tape this way. It is a great product. You will know how to do it once you have mastered ZERO instructions were included in this item, so I wasn't able to give it a full 5 stars. It was necessary for me to search the internet for a few how-tos There are videos explaining how the tools work. There is no site that states how wide the strips should be cut, so I had to look for one. In order to show how to use the sewing foot, I then had to look for another video. It took me a couple of hours to figure out how to properly join the strips using another video. As such, I would like to suggest that the manufacturer put adequate instructions in the package, and to provide a website where a person can access all the information needed to use the product in one place.

The concept was good, but the implementation was poor
3/5

There was a part of me that really wished I liked In my experience, it didn't speed up the process at all. I am a quilter and make my own binding strips, so I thought this would speed up the binding process. When it came time to use the large tape maker, I struggled a lot to get it to work with the thinnest material I had. As I sewed on the binding, however, I was unable to keep the bias in place with the presser foot that was included in the box. The bias was clipped into place and sewn on with a walking foot after I clipped it in place. With a thicker material, the tape maker didn't work properly, and it got stuck to one side. A wide variety of widths were seen on the sides. I hate it! Additionally, I tried to increase the width gently, but it did not work. It would save me a lot of time if this tool worked, I really like the idea of it.

Make your starting easier by attaching a pull cord to the end of your fabric strip
5/5

The opportunity to try this out last night was a welcome one. As a result, it is downside because no directions are provided, but it has an upside because Essentially, you want your fabric strip to not be wider than the width of the base plus the height of the sides. Using this method, you can easily feed your fabric strip through the form. Once you have pulled the fabric strip through the narrow end, iron it. You can make bias tape by folding your fabric strip in half, ironing, and then folding it in half again. That's not bad at all.

The process is a little tricky, but it helps a lot
4/5

Although they can be a little tricky to use at first, once the fabric is fed through it makes bias tape in no time! It saves me hours of folding by hand and ironing inch-wide bias tapes by hand. As opposed to a steady pace, we should be measuring our progress by inches.

Now you don't have to worry about The item is like everything I expected it to be

make bias tape ties to tie these little pillows to the seat belt in your car to protect either the pictogram line or the port. I use the bias tape maker to make the ties for these little With the tool, the process is faster and more uniform than it would be if it were done manually.

This is a great deal in terms of The best deal for me was this one because of the price and the pieces included
5/5

It took me five minutes to make accurate tape with the bias tape maker. I'm not an expert sewer by any means, but the bias tape maker gave me an easy, fast way to make It's nice to see the clips. The machine foot did not really work well for my project, but it was probably just an error in the user. When I used my regular zig zag foot, it was easy to see the tape was properly made. My daughter loved it, and I was able to complete her sewing attempts easily!.
