I had no idea I needed these tiny clips in my life, but I prefer to use them for sewing over pins! They've served me well in a variety of situations. And up to this point, I've only used the largest bias tape maker. I made a beautiful bias tape to finish an apron I made for my daughter. I also used it to make "bias" tape for the edge of a sleep sack out of jersey. It's a little more difficult to iron jersey knit fabric, but that's to be expected given that jersey tends to curl up and doesn't hold the ironing as well. But once I clipped the ironed jersey together, it still worked. If for some reason this set does not work for you, I recommend watching a video on how to use them; I found it to be very simple! And when it comes to sewing, I'm a complete novice. I haven't used the sewing foot because I prefer a different method for applying bias tape, but it appears to be compatible with my Husqvarna machine:.
This Bias Tape Tool Kit with Instructions ended up being a better deal than I had anticipated. The Bias tape tools, which can be used to make four different sizes of Bias tape, are made of sturdy materials, and the kit includes clips, pins, and an awl tool. br>The pins aren't as long as I'm used to, but they're perfect for smaller sewing areas where a large pin would get in the way. The instructions are easy to follow and include pictures that demonstrate how to use the Bias tape tools to create various sizes of tape. I really like the quality of the tools in this kit, which included a Bias Binding foot for a low shank sewing machine and a Bias Binding foot for a low shank sewing machine. For the Money, it's a Good Deal.
When it arrived, I was disappointed. The box was damaged, but I don't believe it was due to shipping because I didn't notice any damage to the mailing package. When the items were opened, they all fell out of the case they were in. Okay, I reasoned. It's not a big deal if I put these in a different case. No matter how hard I tried, the item(s) were extremely difficult to use. I quickly decided to go back to cutting, folding, and ironing my clothes the old fashioned way. I tossed it because I couldn't think of another use for it!.
The use of clips is fantastic. Who is the one who creates the bias? It was impossible for me to complete the task.
So far, I've only used the larger one, but I've used it four times and have had no problems.
I'd been eyeballing it while ironing to make my own bias tape. These bias tape makers, in combination with the awl, clips, and pins, enable me to make more precise, consistent bias tape, which makes sewing easier. The foot fits perfectly on my Singer sewing machine with a clip-on foot.
The bias tape maker isn't working. I attempted to make bias tape, but it failed miserably. It was decided that doing it without the bias tape maker would be much more accurate and faster.
This is a nice and practical kit, which comes highly recommended. The quantity of the items is sufficient to make them useful.
