Questions & Answers

Is this something that can be done with polyester?

Not in the least. "This did absolutely NOTHING but leave a dark imprint inside the pants where the tape was ( I just left this review)" (It's a waste of time and money on my part). I followed the instructions to the letter. Then I tried high heat for 20 seconds at a time, despite the fact that I bought an iron and ironing board EXCLUSIVELY FOR THIS PURPOSE and am extremely frustrated. The yoga pants are made of 90/10 polyester and spandex and should function as advertised. I don't have any pants to wear tonight to a function. THANKS. I've attached some photos.

Is it possible to remove the tape after it has been applied?

I haven't had a need to remove the solution yet. After you've done your research online, see if the following answers, taken verbatim, answer your question: To keep the garment from tearing, scrape the icy fibers gently and quickly.
2. Using a cotton ball, saturate it with isopropyl alcohol or a waterless hand sanitizer.br>3. To remove any remaining pieces of tape, press the soaked cotton ball into the fabric.
4. Use a clean cotton ball dipped in water to wipe away the stain. I hope this information is useful.

Is this going to work on blackout curtains made of polyester?

For polyester-blend fabrics, we recommend the Hem Regular Weight.

Is this the right tape for covering panels with 1/2" batting and then covering them with upholstery material that is taped to the back side of the panel?

It should suffice, in my opinion. However, given the thickness of your material, you might want to consider doubling the tape. It worked perfectly on some sheers that I used it on.

It's very simple and inexpensive to use! It was not only effective, but also quick! Simply place the hem where you want it, fold it over, and iron it! This lovely maxi dress was made with it
5/5

It was far too long, and using tape to shorten it was a simple fix. It saved me $20 because I didn't have to go to the cleaners.

Pillows are made from it
5/5

Years ago, I made the mistake of selling my sewing machine, and now I'm in desperate need of pillows for our camper. I used this and it worked great, but if you're working with thick fabric, I recommend getting the heavy duty 18 yard tape from Joann's for $5. This only works with semi-thin fabric, and you must let it cool completely before reopening it. A word of caution: If you get tape on something you don't want and need to get rid of it, use the iron to melt it away. It has a hot glue smell to it, but it is easily removed from the fabric. When the iron is cool, it can be wiped clean.

With this stuff, I was able to save my butt! I had a $90 VS bra that was falling apart, so I got this and it worked like a charm to simply seal up the seams where the fabric was separating
5/5

I even heated it up with my hair straightener, which worked perfectly! I'm looking forward to finding more things to fix up with it!.

At first, I was a bit skeptical, but wow! br>br>All you need is a good pair of scissors and a ruler to measure your cuts and then your fold or seam, which should be about 1-inch wide. 25" x 25" x 25" x 25" x 25" I saved a lot of money because I'm a 32" seam, but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to buy a case of 48 36" seam pants for $5 each for work. This saves me time and money by eliminating the need for a seamstress. Amazing product, and you can buy it with confidence. I've never ironed anything in my life, and this was ridiculously simple.

For An Amateur Seamstress, This Is Excellent! Hemming my pants is something I do with a sewing machine
5/5

I did, however, need to hem a pair of pants that didn't have any stitching. I'm not a great sewer, and my machine is pretty basic, so I didn't want to fiddle with that stitch. Hemming tape was suggested by Mom. So I did. It worked so well that I now use it all of the time. My husband's scrub tops were recently hemmed by me. They're quite lengthy. It's very light and doesn't add bulk to the hemline. br>It lasts a long time. I've washed the clothes several times since then, and the hems have never come undone. I would strongly advise!.

Doesn't seem to work; This isn't a long-term fix
3/5

The instructions state that you should hold the iron on the taped fabric for 3 seconds, but it takes much longer. Because it did not immediately bond to the fabric when it melted, it took me about a minute to get it to glue down. I used it to hem a jean skirt, but I'm afraid it won't last in the wash and will need to be reapplied frequently. br>I also attempted to hem a cotton/nylon dress, but it was impossible. br>br>This product is a waste of money, and I do not recommend it. It is preferable to have your clothing item tailored.

I hemmed my scrubs for work with these
4/5

I came from a long line of seamstresses, but I didn't inherit that trait, and I was determined to succeed on my own. So, after doing some research, I came across hem tape. It was a pain in the neck at first because it takes about a minute for it to stick. But after that minute, everything is fine. I'm not sure how long it will last, but for the time being, I'm happy. It was also under $4, so it was a win-win situation.

Polyester isn't a good choice
4/5

So I bought this to try to "sew" some pieces onto a polyester coat, but it won't stick for some reason. Hold in place for 5 seconds, according to the packaging. I was able to keep it in place for more than 15 seconds. I'm afraid it'll "melt" my dress if I keep it there much longer. I was able to get the majority of this to work, but it isn't holding up very well in some places. Perhaps it's a case of user error, and I'm not properly using it. It's possible that the fabric is excessively thick. Despite the fact that it claims to be suitable for denim. If I used it on denim, I wouldn't be as concerned about it "melting" or "burning" the fabric, and it would likely transfer heat more effectively.
