Questions & Answers

This will be used as filter floss in my fish tank. Is there anything in this that could poison the aquarium, such as anti-mold additives?

This is the exact question I was hoping to get an answer to when I came here. I'm hoping this is going well for you. I'm going to give it a shot as well!

What is the approximate number of 18x18" pillows that it will fill?

There will be enough fiber left over to fill one 18-inch pillow. Depending on how firm you want your pillow to look, an 18-inch pillow will use about 15 ounces of fiber.

Is this something that can be washed and dried in the machine?

Once the Poly-Cotton has been washed and dried, it can be machine washed and dried. Fil is working on a project, and you should wash the outer materials you use for your projects according to the manufacturer's instructions. If you're not sure, wash on delicate and dry at low temperatures, or air dry.

What is the approximate number of 18x18 pillows that this bag will produce?

Cecil, it should make one 18x18 pillow at the very least. You could also make two with varying degrees of filling. We usually use 12 ounces to make an 18" pillow, but you can use more or less depending on your firmness preference.

PERFECT CRAFT PERFECT CRAFT PERFECT   As you can see in the video, I made a cloud lamp for my son's room out of polyfil
5/5

It was a total success. I was able to gather it, separate it, and shape it to my specifications.

This item was purchased to fill a body pillow with more filling
5/5

When the package arrived, I was surprised at how much fiber was packed into 20 ounces. br>br>I prefer firmer pillows, and this product did a decent job of achieving that. To avoid lumps when stuffing your object, my advice is to pull apart the fibers **VERY FINE**. I spent two hours re-stuffing my object. I made the mistake of being impatient and just shoving it in there, which resulted in horrible lumps. This is something I'd order again if I had the opportunity. tl; tl; tl; tl; tl; tl; tl; tl It worked fine as long as you took the time to properly shred/pull apart the fibers and evenly distribute them. (I tell myself) I'm no longer as lonely at night.

There isn't enough room for two firm pillows
3/5

It was enough to fill two pillows, according to other reviews, so I bought it. 17X17 are the dimensions of my pillows. Unfortunately, I don't think it filled them as much as I would have liked; I filled the cactus with fruit pillowcase more and didn't have as much for the other pillowcase. I would recommend buying two more firmer stuffed pillows if you want two firmer stuffed pillows. I took the time to separate the filler as well. It got on my dress, which I had to change out of because it was itchy.

polyfill is fantastic; There was a lot more in the bag than I had anticipated
5/5

This polyfill was of excellent quality and was ideal for a cloud costume I was working on. It was, however, far too much money for the job. I'm still giving it five stars because it's my fault. I'd use it to fix stuffed animals, limp cushions, and whatever else comes to mind. This polyfill is of excellent quality! To make the costume shown in the photo (only the cloud! ), I only used about a fifth of the bag's contents. If you're unsure how much you'll need, keep that in mind. Aim low!.

My recliner now has a new lease on life! I'm a big fan of the Fairfield Poly- I'm using fil to re-create My recliner has a firm feel to it
5/5

It's been three years, and the poly-styrene is still going strong. The fil in there has flattened out a little, so this will suffice. I bought three 20-ounce bags of this magic fill, and it's given my wide recliner a new lease on life.

Make your couch or pillows look brand new once more! We've purchased two of these bags for different couches on two separate occasions
5/5

We stuffed the cushions we sit on the first time to refresh the couch, and it worked perfectly! Now, two years later, our Frenchie has decided to take up residence on the back cushions of a different couch, resulting in a significant dip! These bags of fill came to the rescue and restored the couch to its former glory. For each pillow, we used one bag.
