No, they aren't delusional.
They have a length of about 5/8". Straight pins usually have a standard diameter. I don't have a tool to measure their diameter because I don't have one.
They don't have a numerical size, but they are. 6mm in width and 3/4 inch in length. Working with appliqué, especially the visible white tip, is a dream.
These pins have the same head size as standard straight pins, but I haven't worked with sequins before, so I can't say whether they're suitable.

Pins for Clover Applique: br>I have to laugh at some of the reviews. These are, without a doubt, the tiniest straight pins you'll ever see. br>br>These are far superior to a couple of other brands I've tried. Something about the head design makes it easier for me to use with my big, clumsy fingers. for their intended specialized use (securing fabric applique pieces to the background fabric before sewing). The world's most powerful The short length helps to avoid the bulky, jabby "pin-like" appearance. a mess" As you try to sew quickly, your thread gets caught on the pins. It helps to reduce the amount of hand basting required. Allows you to complete projects in a fraction of the time! Clover simply produces consistently good pins. )br>br> Even if a pack appears to be junk, it is likely that it is not. br>Last year, I got a new pack of their extra-long extra-large extra-large extra-large extra-large extra-large extra-large extra-large extra-large extra-large extra- fine glassheads (which I use for the majority of my piecing) sewing) that appeared to be dreadful dreck. It appeared to be drab. The fabric was not pierced smoothly at all. It's so close to being TORE through. I was irritated to the point of being irritated. I did, however, require the pins. I wasn't able to go to the store because I didn't have a car. I put in a lot of effort into each one. I made a pincushion out of my coffee grounds. Since then, they've been fantastic. (That is: Any brand of fresh, unbrewed coffee grounds, tightly packed in a thin fabric tube).
I wish I had bought these years ago because I pinned myself a lot with my regular and extra-long pins. When it comes to pinning bias tape, this is particularly useful. When you use these, you will not be disappointed.
I make doll clothes for very small dolls on a regular basis. Some have a maximum of two people. 5 inches tall- These pins are ideal for holding small fabric pieces in place without overpowering the fabric or getting in the way. I haven't broken or bent one yet, the head stays on, and they're easy to locate if I misplace one when unpacking. pinning. Love 'em.
These pins are small enough that they don't get caught in my work, which I appreciate. They're also in a cute little plastic case, which I like. It closes securely and is a convenient way for me to transport the pins when I need them.
I've been quilting for a long time and have discovered that these pins fulfill all of my requirements. Eveni, the package is ideal, with a sturdy little chest that clicks shut to keep the contents from scattering. I've come to a halt in front of one on several occasions, and it doesn't shatter like the typical rigid case. The pins themselves are just long enough to do a good job pinning without sticking out too far. The majority of snarls are avoided as a result of this. I work on a variety of projects at the same time and have never returned to one to find rust or broken pin heads. The sharpness of the points remains. br>When my supply runs out, I always have a back-up supply on hand, because these pins are so useful.
These pins appeal to me for a variety of reasons. First and foremost, the white head makes it easier to locate on your floor if you drop one. Second, the thread does not get caught on the pin as easily when appliqueing, and if it does, the smooth head makes it easier to remove. In addition, because I have arthritis, these pins are easier for me to grasp and manipulate. The pins are a little more expensive than regular flat-head applique pins, but they're well worth it.
I'm a complete novice when it comes to appliqué. My local quilting shop recommended that I use a much shorter pin to keep my wool pieces on the wool background after I took a class there. These pins were so much easier to use when sewing wool appliqué, and they made my needle work go so much faster and neater. I ordered them online and they arrived relatively quickly.
They're ideal for small pieces and wool felt layering.
