Because it is water based, you'll need to coat it with something to make it waterproof.
Mod Podge has yet to be used on oil-based art, but I utilize You Tube for all my questions about it, and I am able to find all the answers there.

You can find good quality brushes at the dollar store at $10 price point, and a 32 oz bottle of Mod Podge is about double the recommended size. *smile* *smile* I bought this to see the difference between matte and gloss, and to be able to start a project with a few brushes. *smile* *smile* I had never used MP before, so it was quite easy and enjoyable. You can follow tutorials, press out bubbles, and wait for each layer to dry before adding another one. A few coats in and the handle had poked through the foam on the large brush. **** This set comes with a large brush that is only about two fingers wide. I probably have not been gentle enough with it, although it would probably be In the gloss version, the smell is stronger than in the matte version. There is nothing chemical about this, but it is Note that I used both bottles to paint a square of flooring (two feet by two feet), using approximately six thin coats (a layering project), for a total of 48 square feet. It is possible that your mileage will differ.
The product does exactly what it was described to do. Not only does it not smell, it also does not give headaches. A white glue similar to Elmer's white glue, but much more liquid and a lot lower viscosity. On the bottles I was labeling, I found it was easy to apply the glue. Laser printed labels did not come off smeared by the liquid. The matte one is the only one I've tried, and I was really pleased with its appearance.
The Mod Podge product is excellent, as you would expect. There are a lot of junky foam brushes (even worse than ordinary foam brushes, which are already not so great). The heads stick to the wood handle, but eventually fall off. It was just a matter of gluing However, it is stiff and does not absorb. Honestly, I bought this primarily because I wanted a small jar of Mod Podge, and I saw it as a good deal to get both matte and gloss (and it was), so I just threw in the brushes for free. Unfortunately, the bonus I'm not eligible for can't be used, which is a shame, as it seems like a brilliant.
Kits like this are ideal for beginners. You can choose different sponges based on their sizes. In addition, two kinds of Mod podge are available, glossy and matte. When I paint diamonds with it, it works well.
Everything went as expected with the mod podge. We are eagerly awaiting the next project to begin.
Decoupage is a hobby of my daughter, so I bought this for her as a gift. While I frequently use various gels, pastes, and glues as well as mod podge on most paper projects, I prefer it over other materials. The Mod Podge we use to transfer images to surfaces such as glass, wood, and stretched canvas is also helpful.
The sponge brushes are nice, it works well.
