The unpackaged product does not emit any smell when you open it, so I might not be able to tell if it contains formaldehyde.
The foam is pretty firm, so I'm not sure if it's soft or hard. If you want to make it comfortable, I think soft batting is needed. I wish you all the best

As I read previous reviews before purchasing this foam, I was pleased with what I got. arrived in a cardboard box, and the Amazon schedule said it would be delivered on time. Using the foam was as simple as decompressing and flattening it out over the next day. During cutting, it was very easy to handle and made just a little mess. In total, it took me less than 15 minutes to cut the foam and make the pattern. Rather than buy foam that is an inch thicker than my cushions, I decided to order an inch thinner foam. In order to make the cushions more comfortable, I added cotton batting. Having never done anything like this before, but after watching a couple of videos, I felt confident I would be able to I completed the entire job in about two hours and was very satisfied with the results. I think the foam fills the upolstery nicely and is dense enough. Despite being 50 years old, this sofa has a mint upholstery, and the foam at the bottom is what makes the difference in comfort and appearance. I'm already looking forward to my next.
In the past, I have ordered many, many times for my business from FoamTouch. The foam is very high density, making it perfect for cushioning. A client asked me to create a cushion for a window seat.
This is what I purchased to make cushions for my patio bench that are 24x24 inches. A bread knife was just the right tool to cut this foam. I ordered the 4x24x96 inch size. I cut my three 24 inch cushions into 22 inch pieces after cutting the third cushion down to 24 inches. . Is it possible that the total will be a little short of 96 inches? You'll also notice from the pictures that it is stained with a strange yellow substance. This product would be a great buy if I ever had to purchase it again.
At the point where the two cushions meet, they flatten (before you sit on them) to 2 inches (new it was 6 inches). These foam cushions brought life to this sofa. They look and feel great. They are firm and don't It is after the new foam has been installed in the picture. You will need a sharp box cutter knife and some old foam for a template. No cutting required.
Regardless of the density rating of the foam, 1" of replacement is not much when applied to a hard seating surface. In addition to the 1" layer I already had, it won't bottom out even when my 215lb is added. It was my goal to achieve that. My experience has been through this process a few times, so I just have to recommend It is recommended to cover hard surfaces with at least 5 inches of material. It appears to be high-quality foam that should keep its loft for quite some time. This is an excellent seller, as well. It feels good to sit down in comfortable dining room chairs, and at the computer.
It came in a small box and was of good quality. I untied the tape and the paper popped out to full size in seconds! The size and comfort are perfect. The firmness is medium. My homemade window seat would be perfect for this pillow. In comparison, I was quoted $600 for this foam and cover, and I got it for 50 dollars and wrapped it in 20 dollars of You've done a great job!.
Due to my achy back, I prefer high density foam because it makes sitting and standing easier. The peanut-shaped couch cushion I ordered was worn out, so I used this order to replace it. was able to feel the edge of the chair as I sat) I cut the basic shape from the fabric cover and then added an extra piece of foam to the convex portion. All of the cushion was covered in cotton batting, and the filling was restuffed. It feels like there is no longer an edge to the chair and it is very comfortable. The cushion in the first picture is newly fitted. A second is a foam cushion removed from the couch.
We were looking to upgrade our old couch, so I purchased this. Our cushions had worn in pretty well and are no longer as firm or comfortable as they were four years ago when we bought them. With the cushion foam already in place, I bought the 1" thick material to add to it. When I opened it up I was worried because it did not seem "high density" as it was advertised. I heard my husband comment that the couch has much more support. I've also noticed that my dog is more pleased with the 1" thick foam than his $200 orthopedic dog bed. As soon as I was done, I gave him the remnant, he made me very happy and gave me 5/5 stars.
