The 911FF Fusible Featherweight from Pellon® is fusible on one side, with small bumps on the fusible side. That's what holds everything together. I hope this information is useful.
It is possible to iron directly on it. The product comes with instructions for use; be sure to follow the heat limitations and only iron on the plain side of the product; otherwise, the adhesive will make a mess of your iron.

This product was simple to use and allowed for quick and easy t-shirt backing. The quilt turned out beautifully and will be useful for many years.
Beware! This is not fusible, as the item description claims; it must be sewn on! This isn't the adhesive featherweight 911 FF you've been looking for! Now I have to wait for a refund, which means I'm falling behind in my sewing class!.
I looked into a few different types of Pellon and decided to use this one to make face masks. This type also stated that you can wash in warm water, which is not the case for everyone. It was also light enough to work well in pleated face masks while still providing stability. It meets my expectations and adds two additional layers of defense.
I adore this product and will never use anything else. This one is ideal for my quilts made from old t-shirts. Not stiff, but just right.
I've been experimenting with non-traditional approaches to design. Since the start of the pandemic, medical facemasks have been worn. 911F has always been in my masks as a filter. One person has left a negative comment on one of the 1529 masks I have made. Working with this interface is the most straightforward.
If you've ever worked with different weight interfacing, you'll notice that this is significantly more substantial. It's more for cuffs and collars, so I'll call it a medium weight. Be careful who you buy from.
