Questions & Answers

On light-colored fabrics, I find that the waffle texture shows through. Is there anything I'm missing?

Despite the fact that I only use cotton, I've never had this issue. I'm not sure what you're doing wrong. The heat n bond light is something you should look into. On lighter fabric, it is unlikely to produce the waffle effect. One thing to keep in mind is that once something has been washed, any lines that have formed will usually relax.

Is it possible to use this method to adhere a silk painting to lightweight cotton for use as a wall hanging?

This is what I used to adhere deconstructed silk neckties to a cotton base so that they would work with the silk. The heat from the iron, on the other hand, could harm the paint.

Is this the standard heat'n bond lite or a variant? thanks. ?

The HeatnBond Lite is a two-sided iron-on that can be used on both sides. Heat is required to bond the adhesive to both fabrics, which is then sewn through.

Is it possible to embroider with it?

If you mean applying heat bond to the back of your embroidery before ironing it onto something else, I believe you can.

Excellent Performance | Simple to Use This is something I bought to keep in my sewing room for when I need it
5/5

It's one of my favorite tools. I used it to do applique using Edyta's method of applying to the shape's outline to reduce stiffness. It helped to stabilize the fabric while also adhering well to my substrate. My needle and thread glided through the product with ease, and I had a lot of fun using it because it made me feel confident and capable of finishing my projects.

Without the use of a bonding agent, the edge has a more natural appearance
3/5

I've ordered this product several times, but the most recent shipment was terrible! The entire edge of the bolt had no bonding agent on it, so it's not worth the hassle unless you have a lot of time to waste making sure it does. It's difficult enough to run a company without adding a sub-par employee to the mix. When you add a par product to the mix, you've got a headache on your hands.

I was familiar with the product because I had previously used it
5/5

Fabric and wool work well with the heat and bond lite. It's simple to cut it down to size and run through the printer as needed. The product arrived a day early and in perfect condition, with no bent edges or other issues that have been reported by others. Although buying in bulk saves money, I use a lot of this and like having it on hand.

One of the most well-known brands is HeatnBond
5/5

When I sew bags and wallets, I frequently use this product. I've made ready-to-eat meals with it. made the facings of the blouses stay in place and don't wrinkle I also used it to keep the shape of patch pockets on the top. I go through a lot of this fantastic product. br>The most important piece of advice I can give is to read and follow the directions. That knock-on effect has also been discovered by me. Offshoots aren't nearly as good as the original.

This is not a good idea
3/5

This item was purchased to help with appliqué sewing. Neither the sticky nor the non-sticky sides of the fabric were present. I did as I was told. I'm hoping it was just a bad luck with the dice.

labeling that is not accurate I purchased it because it was labeled as the same product that I had previously enjoyed
3/5

It's not the same at all. It's designed for raw edge applique rather than top stich applique, which is what I do.

I used this product to make a stained glass wall and it turned out beautifully
4/5

Hanging with batik fabrics and using bias tape binding as a caming. It was simple to apply and provided excellent adhesion. It was a lot easier to peel the backing paper off small fabric pieces than it had been with other brands.

It's not going to work

I paid a lot of money for this item, and I followed the instructions for using it, but it will not adhere to the fabric to fabric. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.
