It's similar to batting but thicker.
Only one side of the coin.
It wouldn't be a self-contained lining, though.

I've only recently begun sewing. I used this product to make a box pouch. I needed something soft and pliable that would hold the pouch's shape, and this product met my requirements. I followed the bag's instructions and it stuck to my fabric perfectly. I've already bought it again and will most likely do so again. I'm not sure if this is a "good price" or not because I'm new to sewing, but it was the most reasonable price I could find for this product. Item was as described and arrived quickly.
I made embroidered fabric baskets out of this product. Stabilization was required for both the outer and inner (lining) fabrics. I used fusible fleece on the outer fabric for the first one, but it slightly wrinkled the embroidery. The problem was solved when I used fusible fleece to cover the lining fabric. When I run out, I'll go out and buy some more. "Stretch" received a three out of five star rating from me. I didn't give it a star because I didn't think it mattered if it stretched or not.
I needed one side iron on and this fit the bill perfectly. I'm making a t-shirt quilt out of my grandmother's clothes, so she has a variety of materials. I've tried it on a variety of fabrics and it works well on everything from thick wool sweaters to silky items and thin fabrics. My only complaint is that I wish there were more because I'm making 12x12 squares and there aren't enough, but I've since purchased more. br>br>As for the product, the squares ironed on beautifully and came out perfectly; it's thin enough to sew a quilt with and makes binding materials easier.
I bought this product because I needed low loft fusible fleece to make a Bendy bag and a couple Sweet Pea pods that Joan Hawley designed for her Craftsy classes. (She recommends a different product, but this one worked fine. )br>br>There are two types of fusible instructions: one for a light bond and one for an extra strong bond that requires a damp press cloth. Both of these irons have a Steam/Wool setting. The fleece was simple to work with and sew through, and it gave the pieces a bit of body. The bag has a zipper, and the fleece adds little bulk. Indeed, because it provides some stability, it may have made zipper installation easier. br>br>The finished lined bag I made is not stiff, but it does stand up on its own and does not go limp. I'm using the bag to store USB charge cables and a headset that I just want to corral in one place (rather than using a zip-top bag). I didn't need a thick fleece for protection because I was in a top plastic bag. br>br>Overall, I'm pleased with this fusible fleece and plan to use it on a few more fiber bags in the near future. I'm also going to use this fleece to make kidney pillows for my dining room chairs, because it will soften the edges and prevent lumpiness from the fiber fill stuffing. Because of those qualities, I'll use it to make kidney pillows for the patio furniture because it dries quickly because it is made of 100% polyester and it dries quickly Now that I think about it, this fleece would be perfect for table place mats or any fabric project where a little loft is desired but not so much that a glass or vase becomes wobbly or tips over. br>br>I adore that this fleece is made in the United States.
The product arrived on time and in good condition. The box in which it was delivered had been ripped to shreds. Fortunately, the contents of the package were not harmed. On a related note, I've recently received several Amazon deliveries with severely damaged outside boxes. Aside from that, the fusible fleece was extremely simple to work with. adhesion was excellent. I'll make placemats out of the remaining fleece. Pellon is a brand I can always rely on.
I've used it to make bowl cozies and hot pads. It's simple to cut and put together. Also, at a very reasonable cost!.
It arrived quickly and at a reasonable price; it's a little light for lining bags and other items (I'm not a quilter), but it does the job. In stores, it's much more expensive, and I'm almost out, so I'll be purchasing again soon.
