Questions & Answers

How long do you think it will take?

2 inches in length

What needle size should I get for 35/3 gauge thread (waxed linen book binding thread)? Thanks! ?

Hello, the 35/3 gauge thread has a diameter of 0. The diameter is 38mm (approximately), the thickness is 35mm, and the number of strands is three. As a result, you can use the smallest needle size. This, however, is entirely up to you and your personal preferences. Thank you

Where do these come from?

I'm not sure, I bought these four years ago and didn't pay attention to where they were made, but if I had to guess, I'd say China, where everything appears to be made.

Is stainless steel used in their construction? Are there any metals in them, such as nickel?

Not sure. The needles, on the other hand, are very nice.

The needles themselves are excellent, but the description is inadequate
3/5

Despite the fact that the title of the purchase stated "all sizes," I had to choose which size I wanted. This seems to me to be deceptive and perplexing. I assumed that because I was ordering 25, I'd get a variety. Nope. You only get one size. . . as long as I wait, I don't want to go through that again.

For leather work, these are the only needles you'll need
5/5

These are hands down the best needles I've ever used for hand stitching leather. I haven't had any broken needles or eye breaks so far. Buying needles from a big box store will not save you money. These are going to be extremely useful to you. John James needles come highly recommended by me.

FINALLY! I'm not stitching my figers and the leather goods at the same time
5/5

This needle has helped me reduce the number of times I've been pricked by a needle because of the perfect design and shape of the head, which is still sharp and crazy easy to push through with the needle-like tip. Anyone who does any type of hand stitching with leather or other materials should give it a try. In a long time, this is the best thing I've purchased for my leatherwork.

Simply purchase them! There will be no second chances! After reading reviews about thicker thread not fitting through the eye of the 0 needles, I decided to order the size 00 needles
5/5

These are incredible needles. After inspecting the holes on these, I don't think I needed to go up to a 00. I'll then order a 0 to see what happens. The needles are incredibly strong, and they've made working with leather a lot easier. Also, thanks to these, I will no longer have to worry about my clothes bleeding all over them. One cautionary note: the 00 needle is thick and will not work for fine, tight wallet holes, etc.

Make sure you order the right size
3/5

I haven't used the product because it isn't compatible with the purpose for which I purchased it. The sizing chart should be avoided because it can be deceiving. I couldn't thread a 1 because I didn't have enough thread. Using a size 0 needle with 0 tiger thread is too small.

Great
5/5

The best leatherworking needles on the market. It's incredibly difficult. A pair of needles can be used for a plethora of tasks. I believe the eye has broken before, but it was while sewing a baseball and twisting and bending the needle in all directions to get the thread through strange angles.

They are prone to being broken
3/5

These aren't appropriate for use with leather. They are easily broken due to their brittleness.
