If I'm thinking of the same thick canvas, I'd go with a size 9, 10, or 11 and something that's about 2 inches long. Yes, needle size does matter; with multiple layers of heavy fabric, a smaller needle is more likely to bend or break. When making stitches, the longer length gives you more needle to work with. This is the best recommendation I can make because I have no idea what you're making.

Needles were fine; there were plenty of them, and they worked perfectly for sewing a button on. My only complaint was seeing all the needles spilling out of the Amazon envelope when I opened it. It wasn't a huge deal because we didn't lose any.
br>However, I am dissatisfied with how the item was pulled and shipped. It was supposed to come in a 20-piece set. What I got was a card with one needle in it that had been opened, as well as ten needles in the shipping envelope. Only 11 out of the total of 20 were given to me. I am extremely dissatisfied with the shipping department's quality control.
I took a chance and bought these because the majority of them were far too short. SO SMALL.
I couldn't find this size sharp in any sewing stores, so I went online to look for it, and lo and behold, the size I needed was right here! A+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++.
When the package arrived, it had been opened and the needles were missing. There is no way to get a refund or a credit for this item. It is the most dreadful gift I have ever received.
Quick delivery. The price is reasonable, and the quality is excellent.
needles are nice.
These are your standard needles, and they're perfect for projects!.
