These needles could be classified as a #26 rather than a #24 because of their size. As a result, the needle is smaller than a #24 DMC and the eye is not as large as a #24 DMC. It pokes you in the finger because the needle is so sharp. I guess cheap needles aren't that good.

My standards are high and I was just as thrilled with these needles. They are blunts with large enough eyes for two needles to be used simultaneously, and they are worth the money. An additional ply of DMC floss is available. You can always return them if they don't work for you.

It's nice to have them, but they are pointless. As if it were sliced off at the end. Tapering the end of a blunt needle is important even when it is blunt. The pin cushion is so difficult even for me to get into that they are forcing themselves to go in. The flat end of these needles makes it impossible to use the ends to hold threads under completed stitches when I purchased them for a counted cross stitch project so I wouldn't have to keep threading the needles.
