It is true. A steam boiler can also be helpful. You can set it to steam by pressing the steam button. Despite its heat-resistant properties, it is not prone to breakdown. You should let it cool down before you sew it into the garment, Allie.
In spite of the fact that I did not sew through it, I would not hesitate to sew through it again. The width of the product is just what I was looking for, and I'll order it again for sure. So that's my attempt at helping you.
Hoop skirts are not likely to fly up unless they are very lightweight and short. An alternative to steel boning would be more appropriate.
If you want to wash your boning, you can.

This product made it possible to accomplish my goal while still being very affordable. I was shocked to find that the project I had already started required 30 yards of boning. I found it to be perfect for my stay. I like its body, but it is flexibility at the same time. The boning is present in nearly every square inch of all these stays. It was simply a matter of doubling the boning on the backsides in order to stiffen the backsides so they wouldn't pucker with I may have been overreacting as I don't think it would have puckered, but it was thin enough that it didn't bulk up, so it was worth it. A few of the places where I sew through it were easy to pass the hand or machine needle through. Despite its small size, this has plenty of left over for my next project and I would buy it.
It works better in a bustier when the price is fair and firm.
If you are taking the time to make several corset foundations, this product will give you the best return on investment! Invest in 50 yards of this boning instead of buying two at the same price. A yard and a half! If you don't want to waste money on what you would get otherwise, this is a great option!.
The structure has been reinforced and the weight has been reduced. It is not an alternative for whale boning if you are looking for one. The light weight and flexibility of this is much better. This is a good product for me!.
In any case, I will not complain since this is a tremendous deal for the price. It's small and sturdy, which means it won't snap. This is the first time I've used it, so I'm thrilled!.
As a result, I didn't have to create channels for this boning because I was able to machine-sew through it. The boning was just attached to the lining with a needle and thread.
I'm not sure if this method works on all garments, but I believe it does for this particular item.
You won't lose money if you don't waste it.
Although I wasn't aware that it wasn't covered with boning, that is fine, it should work.
