It is fantastic to see this boning. In a production of The Nutcracker, I used the material to support ballet bodice corsets. There is a strong boneing in the casing and I really like it. Because it cuts easily with scissors and I can round the ends to make it more comfortable for wearing in bodices, I like that feature.
operate and right on top of that, the casing lays flat on its own. In my search, I have been unable to find boning in this amount for this price elsewhere. A sharp blade and some strength are all you need to cut through the casing and the boning, and you can hand-sew the bones both, if you have a sharp and thick Depending on the material, you may have to hand stitch if you intend to use vertically or on the edge. At the end of the day, I It's been used on 2 commissioned projects, one of them with a corset style top, that was simple With one small piece attached to a tail, it worked perfectly vertically with a slight twist at one point to form a flat surface. This product allows you to create a variety of projects regardless of what you are making.
Initially, I found that I needed boning and casing or bias tape, but had trouble finding it (and bias tape is expensive). As a result, it was great to discover this piece of boning that comprises both!! As I cut the casing, I discovered I had to unnail some of the excess boning so I could sew the ends closed. When I finish the project, I'll have a bit extra boning left over. It is important to note that the casing size (12mm by 1/2 inch) relates to the boning size, so the overall size is you need bone this size, this will be a little too small and you may not be able to use it.
This is not the product you want if you want heavy duty. This is much more sturdy than featherweight, which is all you can find at Jo-Ann But it is not quite as thick as plastic boning from Ann's. It is very flexible and works well for costumes that don't have to be historically accurate or for wedding or formal dresses. That said, it was exactly as described, valuable, and arrived two days ahead of schedule. Happy to have been chosen.
At this point, I need to replace all of my boning channels.
The product is of great quality for the price Delivered in a timely manner. A domestic sewing machine of an entry level is easy to use.
As an alternative to using stabilizers, I saw a tutorial that used boning to keep basket sides sturdy. The product has worked great when I have added it to some old baskets. I'm pretty sure it would fit perfectly in women's underpants, since it is covered in a light.
In order to make a costume, I bought this to make a corset. I am very happy with it. If I had to buy it again, I would.
