The snaps included in this kit will not work on denim or leather because they are too thick. Thinner fabrics, such as cotton, work well with them.
A size T5 is also known as a size 20 and is the most commonly used. I purchased two sets that included snaps and pliers. Both were pre-configured for the T5 or size 20. My pliers come in a variety of sizes that you can switch between. However, I only wear T5 or T20 sizes. Only Kam Snaps and pliers would be on my shopping list. The ones that are less expensive do not work as well. I hope this has been of assistance.

KAM snap pliers are a pair of pliers that have been designed to snap together I'm going to make reusable pads. I needed quality snaps for my diapers, so I looked for them ( installation-related tools). I didn't need the hassle of poor-quality snaps that wouldn't fit properly after spending so much on materials. If I tried to remove them, I'd ruin the fabric. THESE ARE REAL KAM snaps (the snap pieces are embossed with "KAM"). The different sized black plastic snap "seats" are marked on the edges (tiny but there) so you know which size snap they are for, and the pliers are also KAM brand. The organizer box has a nice selection of snap colors. br>My only complaint is that, despite being wrapped in bubble wrap, one of the two snap down "latches" that holds the tool box closed was broken off when I received it. Although the tools box closes, one of the corners is broken. The latching piece on the flip down latch (near that corner) had broken off. The snap organizer container was in perfect condition, with no signs of damage. I suppose I can move the tools to another container that is similar. (I'm sure I have one like it somewhere in my house. ) )br>However, when it comes to the snaps, As far as tools go, I can tell they're all of high quality. It was a wise decision. It came with a simple-to-follow instruction booklet. understand the instruction sheet (inside the snaps box), which includes illustrations and text that explains how to successfully install snaps. I'm glad I went ahead and spent the extra cash! br>I read a lot of reviews (on "less expensive" snap kits) and decided to buy one. SO MANY REVIEWS STATED THAT THE CHEAPEST SETS HAD BADLY MADE SNAPS, did not properly attach(close), Also, many reviews of other cheaper plastic snap kits claimed that the snaps didn't have the correct number of caps, and that the snaps were difficult to remove without damaging the fabrics, etc. To actually MAKE the complete snap sets advertised to be included, you'll need male/female pieces.
So. As a result of all of this, I decided to buy this particular set of snaps. tools. I wish it had been packaged differently so the toolbox's plastic hadn't cracked or broken. However, this will not have an impact on my projects in the long run. After receiving a strap with snap buttons for my Covid mask from a friend, I decided to purchase this. I was so taken with it that I went out and purchased the ribbon she used as well as this set. Some people complained that the tool didn't fit well in the case, but I've found that if you keep the elastic that came with it over the handles, it fits perfectly, though you must make sure it's facing the right way. I guess I got lucky because my case did not arrive broken, as some people claimed. My tool and snap cases were each wrapped in bubble wrap before being placed inside a zippered bag. I've since used the snaps to replace a zipper on my bathrobe, repair a boot cover for my motorcycle boots, and snap a "peak" to a raincoat, and they've all arrived in perfect condition. It's been enjoyable and simple to use, and I appreciate the variety of color options available. Anyone would benefit from this!.
When it arrived, I couldn't wait to put it to use. It was extremely simple to set up and use, and it performed admirably. My drill snap went off without a hitch. This is what I used on my robes (you know how they fall open at the top), some of my gaping blouses, and even a canvas tote bag! I began to look around for more items that required snaps. lol.
I was dissatisfied with the containers' poor quality. The lid of the smaller container that held the press was broken at both lock points, making it impossible to close it. It's a shame, because the containers were the main reason I purchased this set in the first place. They were kind enough to include the chipped plastic pieces of the container inside the container, indicating that someone took the time to move the broken chunks of plastic from the outside to the inside; however, the press barely fits in the included container, even if the lid worked. br>br>Aside from that, the snaps work well and the color selection is nice, but if you're looking for a set in durable containers, I'd look elsewhere. Tweezers were shown in the Amazon photo, but I can confirm that this set does not include them.
This was an excellent buy. These snaps are incredibly simple to use and stay snapped even when pressed. The color combination was fantastic. I used it while costuming a theater production, and I can't tell you how many times it solved a costume problem. The only negative aspect of this purchase was that, as many others have stated, the set came in a broken plastic case. The case had a large chunk missing. Because the piece was present, it must have happened during shipping. The case appears to be too small for the snap setter. Apart from that, everything was fantastic.
My set arrived the day before last. When I opened it, there were snaps all over the place! Both the tool's container and the snaps were shattered. Instead of an envelope, I believe these should be packaged in a box. br>br>On the plus side, I did use it and found it to be very user-friendly. My metal snaps were causing me a lot of trouble because I have arthritic hands. It's a lot easier this time! I've been sewing for my granddaughter, and I'm expecting a grandson. This will be very useful to me!.
