This tool set could be useful if the material is thin but dense. This tool set will not work with materials that are extremely thick.
The description mentions snaps of 10mm, 12mm, and 14mm.
To be honest, I'm not sure, and toddlers' strength develops at different rates. The snap buttons, on the other hand, are fairly simple to open in my opinion.
This tool set is intended for the assembly of plastic buttons only.

This was ordered so that I could add snaps to the baby bibs I've been making. It's perfect; I read some of the reviews first and knew not to press too hard, but rather gently and firmly. It's a cinch to use.
I purchased this to use with my son's muslin blankets to make a breastfeeding cover. The muslin blankets are much cooler and easier to use when breastfeeding in public; the only issue I had was keeping the blanket in place. I now have the best breastfeeding covers and plenty on hand thanks to the snaps I added to the blankets.
I was afraid that, like many other products, this would let me down, and that I would get what I paid for. THIS one fooled me, and it hasn't let me down yet. My only complaint is that it didn't come with enough snaps, but I suppose that's why the price was so low. I placed an order for snaps, and they arrived on time. I was able to finish a large order for a customer in time for Christmas, thanks to the fact that I ordered early. I would recommend this item because packages are either late or do not arrive at all. Even with painful hands, it's simple to use, and it's extremely light. However, it is powerful.
I've now used about ten snaps and ruined one of them in the process. It wasn't perfectly aligned, and the cap piece was broken as a result. I'm down to one set that I can't use right now. It's not the end of the world, but it's a pain in the neck.
This product was purchased to add snaps to reusable cloth towels that I had made into a roll for use in a paper towel dispenser. It completed the task at hand. It was very simple to use and there were plenty of snaps. My only complaint is that maybe two out of the thirty I applied broke when I applied them; I'm not sure if it was user error because the others worked fine, but that's my only gripe. It was simple to get rid of the unwanted snap and try again.
One thing I didn't like about the instructions was how vague they were. Also, the YouTube video is useless because instead of someone explaining how to use it, it plays music. And their hands were obstructing your view of the part you required. Because my first snap was a success, I'm keeping it. If you squeeze too hard, the snap will break. Only a light squeeze is required. All you have to do now is experiment with it until you find out what it is. Start with a sample piece of fabric and keep it in your kit for future reference.
That was a terrible set. By contrast, this set is incredible! It's simple and effective. br>br>The only complaint I have is that the kit arrived with the pliers popped out of their slot, despite the extra packaging intended to keep them in place. The kit has a raised lip in the center between the hinges where the pliers forced it upward because of all the extra packaging to protect the edges. br>br>I don't plan on traveling with this kit, but I do plan on moving it from place to place while using it. As a result, I'll have to store the snaps in the small baggies. So one star deducted for the excessive single-use packaging and the case's very specific damage.
All the tools you'll need to install kam snaps on a Costco down quilt. Doesn't come with many snaps, but that's fine for small jobs. The throat on the hand press could be larger for those times when you need to place a snap further into the middle of your fabric. That is all there is to it.
