The instructions didn't come with it, so that was a disappointment. When I swiped through the pictures on here, I saw that they had put directions (loosely) in the pictures Here are a couple things I wish I had known before I started 1) Open the box of snaps from the side where the little foam piece is located. To find out why I said this, you'll have to open the tool from the opposite side. 2) Preferably you'll need If you press the little metal piece on the left, it will slide out The hand side should be facing upwards. 2) In the part of pliers where there is a hole, insert the snap in the "male" or "female" end. Here's where you need to be careful On the female piece, you do not want to see the little nub on the side you see. The side you see should be the side you do not want to see on your project. There will be a snap here for both sides of each piece, so you have to pay close attention to it. Using your pliers, place your teeth part over the area where you want to insert the snap, and slide it in, teeth facing outward. Continue to squeeze for a few seconds, and you're done! 4) If you place a mark on your male piece, you can actually see through a hole in the pliers to see where it is placed if you put one down. It will be applicable as soon as you install the female piece, but at least it is helpful for now! Hope I made the process a little easier for.

I believe others experienced "operator error," which is unfortunate since those reviews nearly deterred me from making the purchase. I will be in agreement that if you're an absolute novice to craft or sewing, you are going to have a hard time figuring them out with the included guidelines. If you poke the pronged side of the snap through the fabric and lay the male or female end of the snap on top, then align the presser tool under the pronged side and press down, it will stay in place. It feels like the pronged side of the prongs is locking in place as you listen and feel. It's easy if you keep an eye out for which side of the male/female end will lock into the prongs (This is where most novices seem to get stuck) and you will do fine. This pair is obviously small, and is meant for separate layers of jersey, not for repairing a Carhartt Sewing is made easier with these rulers, so if you sew, get them. The next time I buy more, I'll buy.

It is relatively straightforward, but requires a bit of planning if you are This tool would have proved useful many years ago had I invested in it earlier. The tool is excellent for modifying costumes, completing arts and crafts projects, and repairing or improving homes. This video was helpful during the initial getting started process, but it would have been beneficial if there were an overview of the parts being used/which side of the tool each component should be inserted with. There is a bit of trial and error involved, but if you plan out what pieces go where in the first place, you won't waste any pieces in the attempt to attach them (at least, I didn't I checked everything twice before clamping anything). Do not hold the tool handle until you have your grip on the END! This is what your psychiatrist will tell you! In this way, you can get a lot more leverage and secure the snap a lot more firmly.

As an update, after testing it on a few items I am a little I love the way they look when they adhere. that the prongs are quite short. It can be too thick to even add a couple layers of woven cotton. It's impossible to use these for knit clothes for a friend. They aren't even strong enough to go through two layers of cotton on bandanas, so there's no way it'll hold up under thicker knit. In order to find a pair with longer prongs, I still need to find something similar in style. It is not true that the snap caps are the same color as the picture. Among the things I received were Among the colorful hues are yellow, orange, lavender, blue, white, green, silver, light pink, black, baby blue, and Clearly, I needed red, as the photo had indicated that red was a component of the makeup. In addition, it did not come with the post hammer or instructions, as shown in the post. After using the sample snap for a short time, it appears the product is easy to use and sturdy enough. Although, I am so tired of watching Amazon ads from companies that aren't what they appear to be.

The directions aren't great as fastening the flat grommet/fastener is a pain in the arse without practice. Once I figured out how to do it, I was able to use it properly. It took me a long time to get a hang of the flat fasteners. I'm still frustrated with the lack of directions. However, the price was hard to beat, and I managed to create It will take a while to get used to this tool, so be patient!.

The bulk snap sets I bought from Amazon came in several different varieties. Out of all of them, this was by far the best. Among all the sets I not returned, this is the only one. This set of snaps is the best that I have used when making or selling items. The snaps used stayed in place, were easy to use and the snaps weren't too hard to close or open. This brand is far superior to similar products! You will not have to deal with hassles if you choose this item.
