If you check my website, I usually use this size. This size works just fine, but I can't guarantee it. Is it a smaller size that would be more user-friendly?? A lot of my kydex work is zero based on my calculations. As a result, I weigh the same as the 08 listed above.
Generally, I use my arbor press to perform some of the tasks I do with a hammer while using the basic $45 one. It's impossible to set eyelets of this type at the most basic level. Minimum size is $60 to begin with. Regardless of what the setting method is, you will need to pay $70.

Read more to find out what impact heat has. The product is made from stiff materials so it can keep Kydex attached successfully, despite not having the backing disk of its kind. The color of these rivets is affected by how much heat they receive. Your Kydex will look less pleasing and probably useless if it is not riveting properly prior to heating and forming, because the paint will strip away some of these rivets leaving them without an adequate appearance. Drill your holes right away and attach the parts when the hot material is cooled down. Do not use your heat gun to break the rivets however.
Zero splits were recorded. Quite possibly the best finish. An easy way to use. We did not split in any way. The black finish stays on OK and is resistant to being rubbed. The rivet setter from Holstersmith is doing the job for me. This tool uses just a die and guide to set it into the hammer with a hammer. The answer is no. I didn't get it the way I wanted. They can be squeezed with a bench vice. The arbor press is easier but, I already had the bench vice for every function. I'm making perfect turns, every time.
A great item and the highest quality. You will highly recommend the product. It's my first time doing this, doing it by hand, but they seem to have really worked out. Have never split my revenue even when I make a mistake. Having practice, keeping up with it, and making sure you use the appropriate tools (all of my own in my case). Tools such as pipe flair tools, vintage hammer that has a slim profile, puck forming tools like snap skates and jewelers hooks shaped like cones. Rolling this on a vise anvil is the most consistent method of rolling them.
I am pleased with the quality of the rivet, which I tested on my two after receipt. No spliting when I use Kydex 8. In the three different rivets I purchased on the same seller, a total of three out of five split. Although I thought there must be another quality flaw, I couldn't figure it out until I examined the picture. The one shown shows no split and it's very shiny after being.
Used on . The 08 taco sheath should serve you well. You need a little under three length to fix the device. It has more antique brass than today. It does not have a glossy, black coating like one you find in glossy movies. To reduce rub off, avoid brass colors.
While I have tried lots of setting tools, I find that my drill press is best for setting it.
Using anvils and posts with size and width, set these eyelets if you expect them to break! They are highly coveted, but be aware their size might interfere.
In KYDEX, only one went out without problem. At the very least, I will order a few more items.
