The elastic on this is great! Despite my best efforts to show the texture, it is identical to the thicker type on a regular surgical mask. 1/8 in. is the size of it. There should be no problem washing it many times. feels incredibly soft and does not irritate the skin the way regular elastic does. You can wear it around your ear or anywhere else, because it is comfortably stretchy just like any elastic. I also received two spindles, a tape measure and some rubber toggles to adjust the snugness around the ears as a bonus. The product arrived in a very timely fashion for me. This elastic is soft, clean, and as described, EXCEPT it does not return to its original length after stretching. If I am buying elastic, I always make sure that it has this feature. Stretching a 4 inch section into a 4 inch section is the easiest way to do it. The length of this item is 5 inches. When the 4. has been stretched, it should look like this. This segment was originally 5 inches, but has now been reduced to 4 inches. The size of the window is 75 inches long. Sadly, I'm returning the product because I bought it for masks and realized it would cause issues. What a disappointment!.

Over the past few weeks, I have made masks to donate, and most of the ear loops have been made of 1/4" braided elastic. There is no doubt that this product is more comfortable for the ears. Elastic can be stretched, but it is more flexible than ordinary I am able to handle it better than traditional elastic with my sewing machine. My only wish is that I could find this elastic band in black as well!.

Since I couldn't find the original stretch cord I started with, I tried this and the mask is useless after just one wash! I have been sewing and washing masks for my family and others without one complaint or fraying or breaking, etc. Therefore, I must warn anybody I gave masks to (where this product was used) and ask them to repeat that warning Those waiting to be delivered are to be made.

I ordered a greyish one instead, and it actually turned out to be white instead. As well as the headphones, it came with a ruler and some pieces for adjusting the earpieces. I would like this kind in black, but I can't seem to find it.

The only way I'd give it zero stars is if I could. I have encountered several pieces of elastic that are knotted together, and this elastic is not continuous in yardage. Since I won't receive the full amount of yardage advertised, I feel it is a waste of money. Due to my early cutting of the elastic, the knotted together pieces are already cut into my garment. I cannot get a refund. Buying this if you need continuous yardage is a bad idea!.
