I would definitely recommend this dress form if the measurements are right for you, your body, and your needs (or if you pad it out to make it so). The dress form is not a professional sewing machine - I haven't started sewing yet or draping it, but I think pinning will do. No, it is not a professional sewing machine for dress making. There are also cheaper options, but they cost about $300 to $1500. In terms of price, this is a great alternative for us who are just getting started and don't want to spend so much money. In a solid body, there is no movement. As for the base, it is not quite as sturdy as I would have liked (or steady/level), but I plan on using it delicately and it should work out fine. As far as assembly goes, you have to ignore the directions that were included in the box. I was wrong with mine. Only a little padding is needed for the form to As mine did not have the screw necessary to keep the form in place on the stand, I contacted PDM to identify the size bracket I would need to buy. Their response was that the manufacturer would be contacted right away. After getting an answer and buying the screw size my hunch told me to buy the screw didn't work. There was no room for me. My next size is larger so I am going to buy that. There is no point in filling out this form if it does not fit. There was never an offer to send a new one. The form has been in my possession for 2 weeks but still can't be used. This device may never be able to be used by me. Buy it at your own risk. Announcing an update A couple of M5 and M6 screws were purchased. There was a problem with the M5 and an issue with the M6. I have no idea what size to order. The fact that there are no cheap mannequins for a tiny person is a bummer because I am a tiny person There are only a few Even so, I am smitten by the aesthetic of this mannequin in my office. In spite of the fact some people reported that they received their order with chips and dents, I decided to order it because of the size, the fact that it was shipped from Amazon, and the price. That wasn't an issue for me. However, I only had one problem with it - it took me a month to get I was able to put it together without much difficulty. did not need any tools to complete this task. Thus far, it has been a very good experience. In my free time, I sew at home. My only goal in sewing is to make myself happy. My only goal is to make a single garment at a time. I find this perfectly meets my needs. The product arrived in good condition.
